Publisher's summary

In Top Performer, you'll meet Jim, a disciplined but uninspired sales manager. In London on vacation (his first in years), he meets Top Hat. In an engrossing conversation, Top Hat tells him about a legendary Dublin busker/street performer called the Rat Catcher, who engages his audience and effortlessly charms them into parting easily with their change. Top Hat then gives Jim an envelope to take to the Rat Catcher as a form of introduction. Jim is incredulous, and even a bit suspicious, but after a trip back home, he's willing to do anything to break out of his rut of good-to-average sales and dogged but unfulfilling perseverance.

Full of action-packed and sometimes hilarious description of the adventures of a street performer, this engaging audiobook will appeal to anyone in any position and in any field, from banking to baking to busking. In the tradition of the bestselling Fish! series, this is a deceptively simple story that contains profound advice - advice that will help make readers into top performers themselves.

A delight.

I found this book utterly delightful. It was adept at being informative and entertaining. It is inspiring, and encouraging, especially if you are looking for a direction or encouragement for you life's path. It is well read, and wonderfully paced. I was delighted at the amount of information I got out of it, and still enjoyed myself doing it. I am sure the full depth of what I have learned will continue to come to me as I think on the impact it had on me.
Thank you.

worth it

The sample was so engaging that I had to but it, drop everything I was doing and listen to it all the way through. It was well worth it. Begin the journey and start listening...

Not half as good as FISH

I was very excited to listen to this audio book since many years ago, this author changed my professional and personal life with his book FISH. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed...it gave a cute little story but lacked the "punch" that I was looking for. There are a few concepts that I was able to implement in my daily work but not as many as I had hoped. The audio is easy to follow, has a cute story, but overall lacks the substance that FISH had / has.

missed the mark

I was really expecting more. Halfway through the book I was guessing what the final conclusion would be and thinking surely that's not where he is going...surely he has more to say than that. Wrong. That was all there was to it.
