Publisher's Summary

As a native born Californian, I thought I had seen all that my state had to offer. Boy, was I ever wrong! One of the best features you will see here are in the segment on Cali's free (that's right, I said free) attractions. Whether you are a foreign traveler, an intercontinental excursionist, or, like me, a child of the Golden State seeking adventure, this travelogue is essential for your California emprise.

Surf Myrtle Beach, stand in awe over the La Brea Tar Pits, or hike quietly through the Methuselah Grove (the world oldest known living trees). Packed with practical safety tips as well (did you know that the best defense against a mountain lion is to look huge?), The Top 20 Things to Do in California seems to have it all. So what are you waiting for? Come on! I'll see you in the Sierras!
