Too Late...I Love You is the new novel from best-selling, award-winning author Kiki Archer.

Connie Parker isn’t convinced by this falling in love lark. Falling hurts, you end up with bruises and scars.

She has the perfect answer: She’ll write about love instead. But what happens when the novel-in-progress describes more about Connie’s own dull existence than she wants to admit? And when will she realize that her hero is beginning to resemble her new best friend Maria - a woman who seems to turn every simple outing with their three-year-olds into a fun-filled adventure for them all?

In trying to make sense of the puzzle of her life, Connie learns there is no perfect person. Just that person who'll fit you perfectly.

"The twists and turns and surprises just keep coming - listen to it now!" (Diana Simmonds, Curve Magazine)

This is my second audiobook, with the pairing of Kiki Archer (author) and Ella Lynch (Narrator) and it flowed as well as the first one (Lost in the Starlight). Ella Lynch has this well-honed ability to pick the story up when it is needed and make sure the reader's interest does not stall on the slower and more introspective aspects of the story that with a less capable narrator, often fall flat. Even the children's sections are not distracting, rather masterfully done. The listener is thus able to sit back and fall into the story.

Though there are similarities in the themes of the two books I have read (notably an unlikely romance), the storyline and the parental themes are totally fresh and relatable. Connie Parker’s life has for several years revolved around her three-year-old son Noah,(and her dismissive boyfriend Karl) but she is looking for something meatier and more fulfilling to expand her life. She subsequently takes up writing about romantic encounters that she scarcely believes in until she meets the elusive Maria, another mother belonging to her play group,

There are so many totally unexpected and almost slapstick misadventures that follow not the least being the pedal-cart / scooter chase in Brighton. The hilarity is boosted by a well-developed crazy subset of side characters including Connie’s disastrous best friend Ryan and Karl's nightmare mum.

As for the main characters, the banter between Connie and Maria is fun and uplifting from the outset and the chemistry is built in a stead and coherent trajectory. I would perhaps have like a little more detail to fill out the end. It seemed a little sudden and less developed that the rest of the story.

Fun, enjoyable, light, well written and a lovely romance. If that is your genre, do consider 'Too Late.... I Love You'

Archer will make you believe in fate and Love in this charming, funny, and sweet romance.
This story is beautifully written and impressively so as Archer writes a story within a story. Connie's stories both the one she is living and the one she is writing weave together perfectly.
I Love Connie and Maria so much. They have such exquisite chemistry both as friends and as more. I loved all of their interactions and dialogue, the cute flirty banter between them, and the genuine emotional connection as well.
All of the characters were wonderfully authentic and cleverly written.
I was greatly and pleasantly surprised by the twist at the end, I truly couldn’t ask for a better story.
This sweet and sensational romance is perfect.
Ella lynch flawlessly brings this story and these characters to life in her beautiful narration of Too Late… I Love You. Her voice is amazing and a perfect fit for Archer's wonderful story.

beautiful story of love, friendship, and family

Well, the story is pretty straight forward until the end, I felt like the ending was kind of abrupt but everything else was really fun and well done. There's no real deep drama, it's just a telling of how a straight woman and a lesbian woman come together and are connected in the most unconventional way. Seriously, did not see that little twist. Anyway, what really made this was the narrator. Wow I mean she did little giggles, she sung a bit, she does every little sound effect and really puts herself into her characters, it's great! I personally think that she did Ryan perfectly, he just wouldn't be the same without her flair, it really brought the character to life, well done! If you want a easy fun little romance, please pick this little gem up you won't regret it.

Keep with it, it's really good

Great writing and great narration combine in Too Late...I Love You to draw listeners into a very sweet emotional story that feels true to life. There are no moments where you find yourself saying, "That would never happen." Kiki Archer has penned a work with a very sentimental feel to it that when you're finished, you'll feel like you have had more of an experience than simply just listening to an audiobook.

You'll Love It!
