Gripping stuff

I loved this book so much I listened to this in one day even while cooking and driving. Imogen Church is a fantastic narrator and I look forward to more from this author.

Good read

Very enjoyable if a bit dark. One thing that spoiled it a lot for me was the narration, particularly on the male characters. They all spoke irritatingly slow and lethargic ...separating out every word making their sentences drag out enormously. I wish narrators would just use their normal voice when speaking lines of characters in the opposite sex. Apart from that it was gritty and most enjoyable.

Weird

There are too many abbreviated sections of the story for this to grip you. Didn't hold me and do not feel it gave a true insight into any of the characters.

A hard read

I wouldn't say I enjoyed this book, but I'm glad I've listened to it. It's a very heavy book especially emotionally. I wouldn't say this book is for the faint hearted. I felt emotionally exhausted when it finished.

Quite entertaining

I found this book okay, quite easy listening but it didn't quite do it for me.
There are some compelling and neurotic characters with some good twists. for me the book lacked any warm characters which would have balanced out the flawed ones. I felt no empathy towards anyone which separated it from a good book to just an okay one. I would however be interested to read a further book by the author .
