A nice intimate chat with my favourite Dr Who

I love Tom Baker, the best Doctor ever, subjectively. This recording is a fireside chat with tea and crumpets, chatting about his life. To know him is to love him . Any questions? lol.

Who was and is Tom Baker!

Great time listening as always... has a way of storytelling that captivates. A peek behind the scenes of the man who would be the 4th.

highly enjoyable !

Hearing Tom Baker reflect on his life past and present with wit, candor, and enthusiasm was very delightful. Only wish there would be many more interviews like this, like a series of 20 or so.

Tom Baker is an international treasure!

a lovely interview with one of my favorite actors. I loved there format for this audiobook. I think my favorite thing was learning that Tom's acting style on stage was the same as mine....

An entertaining listen, if you like Tom Baker

This is, as far as I know, the first interview Nicholas Briggs has conducted with Tom Baker since 1989's Mythmakers, when Briggs asked whether an actor could be in control of his career. He knows the questions to ask that will set Tom off, and this time, he has the focus of Baker's 80th birthday. This places Baker in a reflective mode, and while some of the same stories are trotted out, we learn how he's come to terms with forever being Doctor Who, how he's learned to be kinder to people, and how his life has changed with old age.
If I have any complaint about this, it's that it's too short.
