I dont know what I was expecting

I received this book for free but the review is left of my own accord.

If you are a brand new parent and are scared of scarring your kid for life, this book might be for you. But I'm the father of an almost 3-year old. So I've only had a 'toddler' for a year or so now and I can safely say I didnt really learn anything from this book. It's filled with very basic information, not all of which is directly for toddlers (some is for newborns and infants and others for older children and teens,,,which isnt what the title says the book is about so why was it included?).

To be fair, it wasnt as "You have to be friends with your child" kinda stuff as I was expecting it to be, but just the fact that she never once refers to spanking as 'spanking' and only as 'beating' can tell you a lot.

I dont mean to say that she's giving out BAD information, its just unnecessary information. Almost everything in here should be common sense (you cant scold your child for cursing if you are cursing in front of them, etc).

Absolutely loved this book.

Excellent book! It gives practical ways to improve communication and make discipline a positive experience. Anyone who manages young employees should read it to help America's youth learn what it takes to be successful in the service industry.

These techniques are awesome! They have helped me calm down and be a better parent. I also like that they throw in science based theories to explain the methods while using real life examples.

I like this book.

This makes discipline so much easier with its simple system and instead of just learning don’t do this or do that, the children truly understand the reasoning behind the discipline and are able to self-regulate better!

Excellent Audiobook

The stuff it’s saying is really good, but I think it could have been an even shorter, more to the point book with some more editing. I’m for sure recommending this to parents that I know though!

How to understand the mind of a toddler!

This is an interesting audiobook to understand the reasons behind the terrible twos. The audiobook is easy to follow and there is also a useful and concise pdf guide that you can look at and calmly remind yourself why your little one is screaming or refusing to behave. It has certainly helped me to learn how to communicate at a little one's level.

Absolutely loved this book.

This book gives a basic look into the human brain, but most important how it applies to a growing brain. I only wish I read this before having my children. I appreciate that this is a science based book, and just as with all other things, I will take what applies to me and practice what I feel is most right for my family and children.
