Publisher's summary

Katrina Needham had her whole life planned: Marry her beloved Major Richard Domont and live happily-ever-after...until he's seen with another woman. Distraught, and needing a distraction, she agrees to assist the rugged, and dangerously handsome privateer, The Saint of the Sea, find a wife.

Dominic St. Monté loves everything about his life as a sea captain, but when he unexpectedly inherits a dukedom and the care of his young sisters, he reluctantly decides he must marry. Afterward, he can return to the sea-faring life he craves, leaving his duchess to oversee his dukedom.

Nic, now The Duke of Pendergast, enlists a family friend's help in finding an acceptable bride and soon realizes Katrina possesses every characteristic he seeks in a duchess. However, he cannot ask for her hand. Not only is she promised to another, a man still determined to make her his, she has absolutely no interest in becoming a privateer's wife.

Can Nic and Katrina relinquish their carefully planned futures and trust love to guide them?

I loved it!

I loved this story! Kitty and Nic were amazing. The story was filled with some tests I didn't see coming. I loved listening to their story and felt as though I was pulled in and could not stop! I spent many extra minutes in the car just to hear a little more! I would definitely recommend this book!

Love it!

To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart is another one of Ms. Cameron's lovely novellas. Just the right length for a short break from reality. Please, keep them coming. And, as always, Stevie is doing a great job narrating.

A fairytale like story!

This story is very fairytale like! For me their attraction started very fast but who wouldn't be in love with the likes of Nic? A story so sweet, left me on cloud nine for hours! ❤

Very recommendable to everyone who's a fan of sweet, clean historical romances and fairytales!

Definitely a five star read and absolutely Stevie Zimmerman made a great job with narration as always.

Lovely Story

This is the story of Katrina Needham, the feisty, confident daughter of a wealthy banker, and Dominic St. Monte, nephew of a family friend, a successful privateer, and the new Duke of Pendergast. In addition to his duties to the Dukedom, Nic is now responsible for his Aunt Bertie (who raised him) whom he adores, and his sisters whom he does not know. The Needhams invite the lot of them to come for an extended visit, and while they are in residence, Katrina will help him with his sisters and learning how to behave like a proper duke. These two would be perfect together, but she believes she is about to become betrothed (although Richard, her almost intended, has not been heard from lately) and he wants a biddable wife who won't mind if he returns to sea once the family is settled. That's the plan, but everybody knows about the best-laid plans... How does this all work out? Where is Richard? Will Nic find a suitable wife? Is there any possibility that Nic and Katrina can be together? Why is Aunt Bertie grinning about? Lots of questions - answers to be found in To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart.

Katrina and Nic have a wonderful chemistry. Their banter is witty and charming. Both are intelligent, caring people. Nic may be a rough and tough man of the sea, but he has a big heart. He wants to make a make a happy family and good life for his shy, scared sisters and sweet Aunt Bertie. The secondary characters are great. The Needhams are understanding and willing to help Nic and his new family. The story is interesting and heartwarming. There is a twist or two and a bit of a surprise. Another winner for Collette Cameron. I enjoyed and recommend it.

Stevie Zimmerman is a talented narrator. The voices for this story were quite well done, from Nic's deep baritone to Aunt Bertie's excited chatter to the soft voices of two shy little girls.

An entertaining reada

If you could sum up To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart in three words, what would they be?

Humorous, family, romance.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This has to be Nic. Although he hasn't had an easy life, he still cares deeply for those he loves. He does have a wicked streak and that is very entertaining to read. He is used to being in command and know what he wants and endeavours to get it.

Which character – as performed by Stevie Zimmerman – was your favorite?

I think this would be Katrina. She often spoke aloud what she was thinking, without always realising it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did have a chuckle at some of the humorous parts.

Any additional comments?

This was a very entertaining book. Not too long at just under 4 hours and it was easy to listen to in stages.
I was gifted a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. This is my honest review.

Another Winner by Collette Cameron

Katrina Needham has her mind on her upcoming wedding. Well she hasn't quite been proposed to, but once her Major has returned, he has promised to propose and the two will marry. In the meantime she has promised to help a dear friend's nephew (the once sea Captain The Saint) Dominic to find a wife. He is the newly Duke of Pendergast. Nic was once thought to be a bastard has learned that he is indeed legit and now that his father and his wife have died has inherited the Dukedom plus two young sisters he knows nothing about. The girls were never allowed to me the man because he was a by-blow. Well the girls are now the by-blows and are quite scared and alone. Nic loves them and isn't sure what to do so he and his Aunt enlist Kitty to help them find a wife who will become a great Duchess and be a great big sister to his siblings. The Needham's take them all into their home and Kitty starts immediately. During a dinner party she is told her supposed fiance is seen with a very pregnant woman. Now learning her Major is now a Marquess, he wants to throw the woman and newborn out to make a home with kitty. He will need more money now to fix up the home as well. Kitty being the kind gentle soul she is, is not having it. She confronts Richard about his actions and learns he is an unkind, money hungry man. She throws him out. Nic having fallen in love with Kitty jumps at the chance and asks Kitty to marry him instead. Realizing she has also fallen in with him over the their time together agrees. He is ready to sell his ship and live with her on land. She wanting some adventure doesn't let him and both agree to take some adventures and remain on land for their family. A Win-Win tale indeed

A delightful story

Collette Cameron has again managed to weave a delightful story for Katrina and Nick, the Saint.
Katrina finds herself torn between her "almost betrothed" and the dashing swashbuckling new Duke, Nick.
We know instantly who should win her hand but going through the process is so much fun with Ms Cameron's witty and divine story telling.
I'm highly recommending this very entertaining book!
