Publisher's summary

When an impromptu kiss captures the imagination, either a spark will ignite or family interference will snuff the match.

Charlotte Darrington adores being adored by the men in her circle. She’s in London at the request of her mother, and though her parent wants her to find an eligible gentleman and start a family, Charlotte delays. In her heart of hearts, she wants a man who can hold his own and won’t be cowed.

Nathan Brigham, Marquess of Ravenhurst, is annoyed with the interfering redhead leading his nephew into the evergreen maze. When he would have delivered a dressing down, she stops his words with a kiss. No matter that he finds her attractive and a welcome distraction from his darkly brooding life, he refuses to succumb to Charlotte’s charms. Above everything, he won’t become the savage man his father was.

Once they return to London from a house party at his country estate, the two can’t avoid each other. Stolen kisses and heated glances in shadowy halls as well as a questionable visit to White’s draw them closer. He can’t forget the demons from his past while her persistence to hear a declaration begs the question: To bed or to wed?

fight for love

Both main characters had to fight their families to get their hea which I found reprehensible. Back off selfish families. I enjoyed both main characters and rooted for them. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Great!

This was a wonderful story of love. A broken man that was treated bad by his own sister and a virgin. Daniella Rose did a splendid job of narrating it. She had a great voice for the characters.

Historical romance

I love historical romance books. This one was no different. it was light and had a nice story line about fighting for what you want

Loved the narration

Daniella Rose did an excellent job as the narrator of this book. Excellent accent, distinct voices for each character and added the right emotions to the story. Definitively a narrator I will look for in the future.
The story was interesting and the romance slow burning. I felt like I wanted more in the end. It could have been a bit longer. I enjoyed the character development. You could feel the difference in both our hero and heroine by the end of the book. This historical romance will appeal to people that want stories with little to no sex descriptions. Recommended!
PS- I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Old fashion Tale

I love how old fashion this story is. From the gowns to the courting to the way a woman is seen in the public eye. She has a certain way she must behave and carry herself or her name could be tarnished and it ruins her chances of marrying. And that's all that matters, is being married properly. In this story, these two main characters want to actually marry for love (well he figures out eventually that he does when he realizes that he's fallen in love with her)

will his temper keep him from her? Will the rumors keep her from him? sorry, I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, you have to listen for yourself.

The narrator did a great job on this one, keeping each character able to be identifiable. I look forward to more of her work.

Wonderful love story.

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is a slow burn romance with a brief sexual scene at the end. This story has insightful character and plot development. It is so much fun to see Charlotte finally find a man that she has been looking for who knows how to handle her. It is heartwarming to watch Nathan come to the point where he can lay to rest some of the demons that haunt him from his painful past. I was cheering these two on from the beginning. There were several characters that I wanted to kick out of town. The narrator does an outstanding job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. She helps the listener feel what the characters are experiencing. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Sweetly Heated Regency Romance

Take one cranky, brooding, Marquess with a chip on his shoulders, add one spunky, outspoken heroine, mix well and stand back ... way back, because sparks are going to fly! The ride isn’t smooth for these two, and you may want to toss a few family members out of the coach, but believe me, you will root for their happy ending. The story is tastefully written with a fantastic bite and well very narrated. Pop on your headphones and enjoy the ride!

Beautiful Historical Romance!

To Bed or to Wed is the first book in the Darrington Family Series, a Historical Romance. Nathan and Charlotte's story is beautifully written, and heartwarming. The characters are great. I love Charlotte's determination. She is lovely and strong. Her brother is a great supporting character. Nathan is handsome. They are perfect together, and they share a strong chemistry. This is a beautiful Historical Romance. Daniella Rose has a beautiful voice. She did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. I would love to listen to Marriage Minded Lord, the first book in the series.
