Titan has declared its freedom. Keeping it is another story.

After inciting rebellion against Earth throughout Titan's off-world colonies, Kale learns that leadership isn't only about fighting. Keeping control of his people - even his own family - requires a different set of skills. Following a pivotal battle over Saturn, Kale travels deep into enemy territory under the guise of seeking peace, though peace is the last thing on his mind.

Malcolm Graves used to be an infamous Collector for a powerful Earther corporation, until he nearly lost his life on Titan. Now he's retired. But when Kale's wake of destruction follows Malcolm to Mars and claims the life of a friend, it's time for the ex-Collector to dust off his pulse-pistol and leap back into a fight he thought he'd left behind.

With the solar system divided, heroes are few and short-lived...but someone has to put the self-proclaimed King of Titan in his place.

Family has a way of deciding the destiny of empires and Rhett C. Bruno uses this to full effect in Titan’s Rise. Book 3 in the Children of Titan saga builds steam like a runaway freight train, following Kale Trass and his rebel Titanborns’ struggle for freedom against the mega-corporations that oppressed and murdered their kind for decades. Tossed into the mix are retired Collector, Malcom Graves, and his alienated daughter, Aria. All three are people struggling to find their way in a world full of loyalties divided by blood and violence. The story is heart-tugging, pulse-pounding and full of the messy aftermath born from the questionable life choices humans are famous for making. If you liked books 1 & 2, you won’t be disappointed. And with R.C. Bray narrating the audiobook, you know it will be a fun ride!

I have maybe five favorite authors who excel at everything they write. Rhett Bruno is definitely one of them, easily.
From the first book I read by him, “The Roach Rises” and then a forever favorite, “The Long Vigil”, his Children of Titan series through to his award winning Circuit series of books, I was captured by his flawless storytelling imagination.
Don’t hesitate to add everything you can by Mr. Bruno to your bookshelf or Kindle or wherever you hide your favorite stories.
He has so many that I can’t name them all.
Titan’s Rise, book three in his Children of Titan series, is just the latest in his ever growing list of must reads.
Rhett Bruno is simply has a superb science fiction mind.
My limited vocabulary can’t do him justice.
I can’t thank him enough.

One of the best scifi series I've heard in a long time. Great pacing, writing, character building, and story building. And Bray's performance fits the story perfectly. This should be made into a tv series or video game series, or both. I'm downloading the next installment now.

one if the best sci fi series

I’m not quite sure where the author was going on this book. Are leading character, are the current leading character seemed to parallel so many rebel leaders who then turned into egomaniacal rulers. The parallels between many in history who overthrew a corrupt or violent regime and then proclaimed themselves king and were called my Lord etc. it’s rather terrifying. Not sure of what he was thinking about there. Anyway, the books OK, a few little fun twists or new revelations that are interesting.

Unfortunate

Continues the great story of Titan’s son with great twists and turns making it more realistic than story-book. Performance was great and can’t wait for the next audiobook to come out.

RC Bray, so yeah. It's a great listen. But the author wrote an amazing story, so don't stop there. This is a 5 part series and the books change POV as they go. I've read them all and the change of perspective really adds to the story.

This just gets better and better.

My reviews for Titan's Rise and Titan's Fury are somewhat muddled, as they were both so good that I greedily consumed them without stoping to write a review after each. Together, they really span a single story arc in the Children of Titan series and really are almost one continuous narrative. Titan's Rise and Titan's Fury pick up after the events at the end of the first two split books and rather than focusing on one perspective like the first two books, they both rotate chapter POV characters, primarily Malcolm Graves and Kale Drayton. Throughout these books, Malcolm Graves quickly became one of my all-time favorite characters. His snark, general smartassery, and this old-dog-can-still-bite attitude make him memorable and always fun to read. Throughout the series, the plot was written extremely well and though hints and foreshadowing were dropped here and there, there were always surprises and turns I didn’t expect. It really highlights just how well the Children use subterfuge and misdirection to accomplish their goals and manipulate the rest of the solar system.

R.C. Bray provides another excellent performance in all the audiobook versions of the Children of Titan novels (and novella). He was a perfect choice for Malcolm Graves and I don’t know any narrator could have voiced the character better. My only gripe with the narration was that when the POV characters started rotating in Rise and Fury, sometimes there wasn’t enough of a difference between the voices of Malcome and Kale to tell the difference between the two. Keep in mind, it was only a very, very minor annoyance and even with it, it is some of the best narration you’ll hear from any audiobook.
