Publisher's summary

Two folk tales to enjoy:

Daldre's Dragon is based on The Ugly Duckling by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen. The lessons learned in this fable are unconditional love begins at home and acceptance of differences. This tale has a range of emotions with action, tragedy, and heartfelt love.

The Three Adopted Pigs is a retelling of the classic Three Little Pigs, but with dragons!

A Dragon, I Thought I Saw A Dragon

Barbara Henslee has taken two short folktales and creatively twisted them into two short fairy tales by involving dragons in the subject matter. I enjoyed her writing style and was entertained by her changes in the tales. The author seems to encourage the acceptance of others in spite of their differences, and she indicates that sometimes that acceptance is among family members. I recommend this book without reservations. Barbara Henslee's narration was fine as her voice is pleasing. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great for someone who loves dragons

This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author. The two stories are unique with the remake centered around dragons. The stories basis does not vary much else. The three little pig one has the wolf eaten, not just scared away. Other than that, these are fine for young kids. ———

This is the first book I have listened to by this author/narrator ( Barbara Henslee. She narrates her own book. ) and I would listen to another. She did well with the character voices and expression she adds to the narration. She still has the cadence of reading more than performing, but the listen is enjoyable. ———

There is no excessive / overly descriptive violence, or swearing. ———

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Interesting twists

These stories are Retellings of common fairytale. The twists made them fun. These would be good to read to grandchildren.
