When a mysterious time capsule leads a Toronto teacher to England, she discovers some loves are worth crossing oceans—and decades—to find, from New York Times bestselling author Hannah Bonam-Young.
When a history teacher receives a letter from her deceased grandmother revealing a secret love affair in the 1950s, it leads her to a time capsule hidden decades ago. But it’s the charming grandson of her grandmother’s lost love who changes everything, proving that sometimes the heart knows exactly where—and when—it belongs.
Hannah Bonam-Young’s Time Will Tell is part of The Improbable Meet-Cute: Second Chances, stories for star-crossed lovers and hopeless romantics. They can be read or listened to in one sitting. Let’s do it again.

Meh, especially for Hannah Bonam Young

The core plot is LGBTQ supportive. There are gentle digs about tolerance, proliferation of social media, and redheads. If this was book length, I have a feeling I’d find it too flower-child preachy and saccharine sweet. But, at novella length, the descriptions of astrological signs by two MCs who are supposedly academics went down easy.

And boy these women sure knew what they were talking about. A short novella, barely 5 chapters long is enough to showcase the talent of Hannah. This is my first brush with her work and I'm so impressed by her unique story, command of language, deft expression of sentiments.
Georgia gets a time capsule as inheritance from her deceased grandmother and the caveat is, it’s locked, with the key inherited by Callum on the other side of the pond. This meet-cute, fated romance brings them together with a history steeped in societal restraints. Hannah has managed to touch my heart with adorable cuteness but also made the prose important with topical issue we still struggle with today.
Narration by Victoria Connolly and maxim reston is melodic & soothing.
I'll definitely pick more of her books now
