Love in Space and Time

Carter is a stringer. A stringer captures news on camera and sells the footage to news stations. She has made a decent living doing this since leaving home at 17 to get away from her parents who argued incessantly. Until she captured the news story of a life time. Until she was first on the scene when the time travel pod showed up.

Bill is a career officer and completely fulfilled with his mission to collect artifacts, capture time lapse video of earth history, and trying to find a solution to humanities ultimate demise. When his camera man turns out to be not quite up to the job, Bill starts looking for a replacement. At the top of his list? Carter. Once Carter joins Bill’s team, things begin to move fast. Carter has a way of taking bits of information and weaving a tapestry that solves mysteries.

This listen was interesting and I was invested in the characters, but it was on the light side and the dialogue was a little formal and stiff. There was a lot of explanation and not a lot of complicated science or tech. The narration was good and Kevin Clay does a decent job with the voices, both male and female. He did the best he could with dialogue that wasn’t the best.

Pass the Sunscreen... possibly SPF 10,000

Wow, this one would actually get a 4 1/2 stars if I could give half stars. This was such a cool listen. There were so many little nuences that make this book something special. I do have to admit with the main character of the story being female and the narrator being cast a male made me wonder how things would turn out, however I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. As a listener I just loved the main character's spunkiness and randomness that it had me laughing and yelling at her throughout the entire book. The premise of this story was absolutely awesome, I am already a fan of time travel books but I really could not put this one down. It is unfortunate that I cannot go into too much detail as I don't want to give things away but I think I could write a million word review about this one. The relationship between our main characters was really well written and definitely gave the story a little something extra. All the secrets, conspiracies or truths whichever you would like to call them were really well written and weaved together in this story and it was refreshing. I typically follow some of these and really became a fan of this book when they were introduced. The author also has a great taste in music too as there are several songs on a playlist that are mentioned in the story. There is a lot to like about this story especially the narration. The narrator does a great job using pauses and different accents with all the characters throughout the entire story. It was a great performance. Definitely pick this one up. Also, you better keep a lookout for the Black Knight because he is always in the sky keeping an eye on you. I was gifted a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review via Audiobook Boom.

Good story, Mediocre performance,

Although the story was intriguing the characters lacked depth and was written in the 3rd person narrative.

Ugh

I liked the idea but they kept running into problems and forgetting they have a freaking time machine! The dialog was cheesy at times. Meh.

Well-written and a great storyline. This book kept my interest throughout, and was a good science fiction novel that I would recommend to any fan of this genre

Men in Black without all the killing and aliens

This was a great story that kept me engaged all the way to the end. The story was very believable and well written. Just enough character development to let you know whose side you are on. The plot line keeps you guessing as well as interested in what’s happening now. The narrator fit well with the story and had everything needed to bring the story to life. Would be happy to read more.

Corny but interesting

Are use the audiobook style of this story. The narrator made the story sound a little corny at times because of how he spoke but the overall story was interesting. If you enjoy time travel stories you will probably enjoy this as well.

Two dimensional characters.

The premise was interesting but the characters have no depth. The romance between the main characters was corny to say the list.

I loved this book - super freaky time travel

Any additional comments?

This book was very entertaining. Set in the future in a world that is very different than it is now. I love that the main plot is trying to save the world. If you love time travel books you should definately read this book. I hope there will be a follow up or maybe a series! I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review. But I really loved it even if I did get for free! thank you Robert Werden.
