Publisher's summary

It's called "the event", an unimaginable cataclysm that shatters 600 million years of the Earth's timeline.

Our world is gone, instantly replaced by a new one made of scattered remnants of the past, present, and future, dropped alongside one another in a patchwork of "shards". Monsters from Jurassic prehistory, ancient armies, and high-tech robots all coexist in this deadly post-apocalyptic landscape.

A desperate group of survivors sets out to locate the source of the disaster. They include 21st-century Californian Amber Richardson, Cam, a young Celtic warrior from Roman Britannia, Alex Brice, a policewoman from 1985, and Blake, a British soldier from World War II. With other refugees from across time, they must learn the truth behind the Event, if they are to survive.

Great book!!

What a fun book! I enjoyed the story and characters immensely! I hope there is another to pick up where this one leaves off.

A fresh concept of time travel/displacement

Enjoyed the story, specifically the small historical references in the beginning. All in all, it’s a great set up novel but the book end right as things are being explained. Worth the read but, since this is a new release, I imagine I’ll have to re-read it again when book 2 comes out.

great read!

The narrator has a very pleasant voice. The story is compelling, and leaves you wanting more. Not too crazy about the bad guy storyline ( trying not to spoil it) but the monsters are great. I can really visualize everything the author describes. Give it a read. It's very different from any other time travel book I've read so far.

A fun concept carries it.

Had a bad run of choices lately. This was a good one. one of the more interesting time travel twists and I have read everything time travel related. interactions between time periods is fun, clever and we'll researched. Didn't suffer from some usual issues like "every character is key to the story". some times character have a part to play only. Makes it more authentic and I liked that. Good narration helped as well. Great Scot accent.

Not the best book I ever bought but definitely worth the credit. sadly ended on a cliffhanger of sorts and is just a build up story.

The voice was perfect for this book

I loved this book. The voice matched the tone of this book perfectly for me. I also think the story was wonderful.

Good premise. Poorly executed.

The concept sounds interesting but the story itself seems like a failed SYFY Original movie script.

Great story, appalling accent

I really enjoyed this story. It was original and engaging. My biggest gripe is the narrator's attempt at an English accent. Beyond Bad!!! And for heaven's sake, is it really too hard to learn how to pronounce the word Thames, as in the river?. It does NOT rhyme with 'games'!!!!!. This was lazy and sloppy.
