Great for first timers

Whether this is your first foray into time management or you are a seasoned manager, you will get a good grasp of the concepts and tips Lee shares here. The tips are good, the content is generic, but a reminder of these basic principles benefits everyone.

More than just efficiency and effectiveness...

I've always considered myself an organized person, but I quickly realized that not only could I work more effectively, but I really need to be focusing on different things--personally AND professionally.

This is more than a book about staying organized: this book informs how to apply systems in every aspect of your life, and why it's important to make time for your health, relationships, as well as managing your day so you can address the unpredictable tasks that pop up unscheduled.

If you find yourself busy, but are having a hard time moving the ball on important tasks and goals... I highly recommend this book.

A bonus is Jody's voice, which is easygoing and pleasant to listen to.

My advice... get this book if you're interested in becoming the most impactful version of yourself.

Time Management Practices the World Forgot

This is a good solid book on basic to advanced time management practices. If you suffer from bad time management or organizational skills in either your business or personal life, I would strongly encourage you to pick up this book.

You will not find a miracle cure for your problems, but a good solid system that can help you help yourself if you apply focus and self discipline to your life.

I would recommend that you also pick up a physical copy of this book to accompany the audio, as there are several real life examples from Lee Cockerell's own personal planner referenced in the audio version. If you don't have them in front of you, you may find yourself a bit lost in the middle of the book.

My only complaint is that much of the time management system described in the book makes use of the "Day Timer" product system. Lee goes on to explain why he chooses and uses "Day Timer" products, and while it is understandable that these products are useful and he is clearly excited about them, I felt at times like I was listening to an infomercial. "Day Timer" products are somewhat infamous for their expensive price points...

Make no mistake, you do not need a "Day Timer". You can utilize any basic planner to implement and practice what Lee talks about in the book. You just have to work your way around the advert fluff.
