Publisher's summary
Four friends, a road trip through the mountains, and some car trouble. What could possibly go wrong?
After graduating from high school, four friends head for a week-long trip to a mountain cabin to spend one last time together before heading off to college. Some major car trouble puts the skids on their plans.
Taking refuge in a lonely mountain motel, the friends find they may have wandered into a nest of vipers. Who can they trust? Who is behind the terror they all feel? How in the world will they get off the mountain alive?
Through The Mountains is a story of friendship being tested in the one of the most horrific settings. Fans of road trip and small town horrors will love this!

A massive solar storm induced EMP of apocalyptic proportions knocks out power and fries circuits for most of the planet. Transportation, communications, and constraints on human nature are gone. Within hours, store shelves are empty; gangs and desperate people with guns rampage. Survival for those ill-equipped and unprepared will be short-lived. This will be the new normal for many months, possibly years.

Mixed bag of a story
Quite entertained by the narrator. His performance had me lost in the story. The story itself would go well for a bit and then get nonsensical. It seemed like the author just wanted to get to the Rambo ending and didn't care about completing the story for the 3 other main characters.
