Lighthearted and fun!

Sometimes you're just in the mood for something short and light hearted. This collection includes three short story collections.

The second set is as much fun as the first one:)

This is the second box of romatic comedies by Ms Sax I listened to (the first being the Five Wishes series) and it's as entertaining as the first one.

Again, we have stories in which romance and comedy intermingle, with quite a lot of strange coincidences, bizarre obstacles and sudden twists coming in love's way (such as a kindergarden graduation turning into a parents' brawl or dog-sitting turning into a wild chase after a criminal) but they will all make you laugh, maybe even laugh out loud... Yes, the stories are unrealistic, yes, the heroines do tend to be over-the-top with teenage-like behaviours when it comes to their love interests, and yes, the love interests themselves are all the Prince Charming type... but it makes for a wonderfully entertaining whole, so I can kind of turn a blind eye to those imperfections...:)
All three stories are fun, but I think I like the second one - Inn and Out - best (it's the one with the parents' brawl:)). Beryl and Thor are a great example of the opposites attract rule, and the secondary characters will certainly make your day.

The only thing that may be considered a slight fault is the sex scenes - quite hot for romantic comedies (while it normally doesn't bother me so much when on paper, it tends to crash a bit with the overall mood of the stories when listened to...). That's why I've given the story 4 and not 5 stars...

The interpretation by Ms Hickman is very good; she does well both female and male parts, even though she doesn't differentiate the voices too much. But she's great at conveying emotions, which makes the listen great entertainment.

A Fun Collection

This is a collection of fun and lighthearted romance stories. The stories are well written and the characters lovable. The first story is good, the second I didn't care for as much and third is fabulous! If you enjoy fun and crazy romances then you should check out this series. The narration was well done and really added to each story.

Enjoyable

I requested & was given Three More Wishes by Elise Sax at no cost or charge & in return I offer my opinion of this book . I'll keep my review short & sweet because that's how I found this book . I love the humor , there is lots of witty parts & lots of sex but it was mild & well presented . Over all I found this book to be like my review , short & sweet .

FUNNY!

These stories are funny. I was quick to read these because I read the previous Five Wishes Series and thought they were hilarious. I enjoyed that series more! The narration is really good and keeps you entertained. This author did a great job with her characters and plot. A job well done! Hilarious Happy Endings...just as promised

This is my first time reading anything by Elise Sax. Her website promises hilarious happy endings and boy does she deliver! This audiobook is a bundle of 3 separate romance stories about residents of Summer Island. Each story is stand alone, but may contain some references about previous characters.

In each of the books we become entangled in the mind of the main female character. The witty one-liners going through each of these women's heads will keep the listener chuckling. It is fun to discover the multitude of precarious situations in which our lovebirds-to-be find themselves.

Narrator Angie Hickman hits all the punchlines. Her voice is perfect for the innocent, doe-eyed Nora or insecure, bad-ass wanna-be Beryl or even Elise, a journalist with a nose for a good scoop. Ms. Hickman allowed me to escape for a few hours each day. I truly enjoyed the ride. As long as the listener is okay with language and sex, this is a fun listening experience.

Cute romances

This set of 3 is a happy, squishy-feeling kind of box set. All 3 stories are sweet and cute romances.

Fun narration doesn't get any better than this!

Audio-book: Narrator – Angie Hickman

I enjoy the heck out of these tidbits of zany fun but oh my gosh…when I get the chance to listen to Ms. Hickman narrate them, they take on a whole other dimension. Suddenly, they’re not just cute and fun, they are full of so much hilarity and humor that I’m beside myself with laughter. As in I-can’t-stop-laughing laughter. Ms. Hickman does an astounding job of bringing every one of these characters, be they a main character or a secondary character, to life. I can’t get enough of them because of her and I am highly addicted at this point.


Every one of the stories in this collection were spot on perfect to make you feel good. Some have more drama than others but even then it’s laugh out loud drama as these characters finesse (or stumble) their way out of the crisis. Written in the heroine’s point of view they leave you to wonder what the hero is thinking about as he witnesses all the zany antics of the female character and yet you know he’s just waiting for the moment when he can finally let his own feelings be known. They are each satisfying to such a degree that I had a hard time moving from them after I finished listening and I wanted to replay them all over again.

Great Read

Three More Wishes Series: Books 1-3 was a great read by Elise Sax. This box set contains novellas; Blown Away, Inn & Out and Quick Bang. These books followed three couples who are brought together under different circumstances. I really enjoyed listening to Millie and Cade; Beryl and Thor; and Norma and Stone's story. These were great novellas by the author. Angie Hickman did a great job of narrating these characters so that you are completely enthralled in their stories.
