Publisher's summary

When a child goes missing, two mothers’ lives collide in a shocking way in this suspenseful novel from the best-selling author of The Marriage Lie.

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare: the call that comes in the middle of the night. When Kat Jenkins awakens to the police on her doorstep, her greatest fear is realized. Her nine-year-old son, Ethan, is missing - vanished from the cabin where he’d been on an overnight class trip. Shocked and distraught, Kat rushes to the campground, but she’s too late; the authorities have returned from their search empty-handed after losing Ethan’s trail in the mountain forest.

Another mother from the school, Stef Huntington, seems like she has it all: money, prominence in the community, a popular son, and a loving husband. She hardly knows Kat, except for the vicious gossip that swirls around Kat’s traumatic past. But as the police investigation unfolds, Ethan’s disappearance has earth-shattering consequences for Stef, as her path crosses with Kat. As the two mothers race against the clock, their desperate search for answers reveals how the greatest dangers lie behind the everyday smiles of those they trust the most.

Just okay

I kept waiting for this to get exciting, but it never did. I am surprised by the amount of 5 star reviews. I was pretty bored the whole time. Definitely not worth a credit.

Compelling

On an overnight second grade camping trip, Kat’s son Ethan goes missing. Her soon-to-be abusive ex, Andrew, tops the suspect list. The mayor Sam and his wife Stef’s son Sammy, also on the trip, appears to have been the target. Sammy may know more than he’s saying. In a race against time, investigators, the families and friends search for Ethan while the suspect list grows.

THREE DAYS MISSING is an example of a perfect suspense novel. My heart thumped loudly as compelling plot never let up. I can’t remember the last time a thriller actually thrilled me. The imperfect, yet sympathetic characters had me rooting for good outcomes for everyone.

Kimberly Belle has written a breakthrough novel with THREE DAYS MISSING that kept me guessing until the end with no shortage of disproven theories along the way. Even minor characters I had written off as problematic proved to have redeeming qualities by the time the book’s final chapter ended.

THREE DAYS MISSING is a must read.

What a refreshing lesson on forgiveness

This was a very interesting book. The story line was interesting enough to keep me interested, but within the story of a woman suffering when her son disappears, there are words of wisdom. There was no extreme violence, bad language or sex. I’d gladly let my teenage daughter read this books for the life lessons.

You can’t pick what you accept about a person, you have to accept them for the things you like and the things you don’t. (Not a direct quote)

Okay

Story was ok. The narrator was good. I think the story itself could have been better.

I cried like 10 times

Such a hard story to listen to but so well written ! I was hooked from the beginning and the story was definitely not predictable it was like listening to a crime junkies episode but told from the mother of a missing child’s point of view. The way this was read and vocalized really helped make sense of the story and brought the characters to life

Great story but not what I expected

It was a great story and a great performance by the narrator but I will say I was slightly disappointed with the plot twist. The description of the book regarding Steph made it seem as though she had a dark past or a personal dark past would be revealed but that’s not at all what happened. I would say it really had nothing to do with Stephs past and my eagerness to find out this piece of information was sort of extinguished by the actual story of events. Take that for what it is, it was still a great story!

Engaging!

As a mother myself I was swept up into the terror of the storyline. It was suspenseful and well narrated. I especially liked Ethan’s closure remarks.
