On Malinter, the Divine Fratery, servants of the Runious Powers, do battle with Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor and his companions. But someone else is waiting in the shadows, someone that the Fratery want to see dead even more than they do Ravenor.

As daemonhosts battle in the skies and the air fills with gunfire and rain, Ravenor meets with an old friend, summoned by a simple message: Thorn Wishes Talon.

spoiler free sequel

this is a sequel with no, or very light, and predictable spoilers. it stands well on its own as an interesting audio drama containing an inquisitorial mission shrouded in mystery, and could easily be listened to before the literature that takes place before it in the timeline l, but would also be a treat to anyone who has read that literature already

background "music" absolutely aweful..

if all the sound effects/music were turned down, I may have been able to focus on the story. Honestly, seems like a failure attempt of an audio drama. If they had just listened to the first 10 min after recording they maybe could have salvaged it. I can't recommend on this alone... its bad...

The musical soundtrack is PAINFUL to listen to

Why on earth are there these discordant sounds that sound like microphone feedback repeating intermittently throughout the recording?! They are painful to listen to and hugely take away from the overall quality of the recording. Really bad decision, whoever decided to “get creative” here. Next time let the story speak for itself without that nonsense.

Perfect short story

I love this story, it is one of the best depictions of Ravenor and Eisenhorn's dynamic.
