Gina Thompson is totally involved with her high school students, her own research, and upgrading and decorating her 60+-year-old home. Despite having a big noisy family with obnoxious nephews, a very nosy sister, and a meddling mother, Gina is lonely. How can her search for Mr. Right end up with so many Mr. Wrongs? Her family’s constant meddling in her romantic life makes her want to give up on men altogether. If she uses the scientific method in every facet of her work, why can’t she use it to find Mr. Right?

Ken Armstrong is an astrophysicist who works at NASA. His parents have passed away and he has no siblings. His only family is his Uncle Johann, who he calls Uncle Yo, and a crotchety 15-year-old cat. It has occurred to him that his life is too impermanent: he rents an apartment, he rents his furniture, he rents all of his his appliances, and he has no woman in his life.

Uncle Yo, has tried repeatedly to set Ken up with women but always with disastrous results. It comes home to Ken that things have to change or his life will be incomplete and lonely.

Through a series of planned mishaps orchestrated by Gina’s family, Ken’s Uncle Johann, and an icy visit from Mother Nature, Gina and Ken, two seriously logical people, find that indeed, there is scientific proof for love at first sight.
