Enjoyed Listening

It took me several days and a few road trips to listen to the whole book but I enjoyed it. The author narrated it which I appreciated. Although you have like his style of talking.

WHY won't authors use a professional narrator?????

I haven't the faintest clue WHY authors refuse to use professional narrators. I don't know who this doctor is, but I was intrigued by his book. Unfortunately, he has a bad speech impediment and pronounces all of the words with an "l" in it as a "w." So every stinkin time he says the word "blood" (which is about a million) it comes out as "bwood." He sounds like Elmer Fudd. I'm sure he has a terrific brain and is extremely knowledgeable, but my little ol' brain over here could not concentrate on the content because I kept getting distracted by his pronunciation. I'm sure the content is good, but I'm moving on and returning this for my credit back. I couldn't even make it past the first chapter. The book would probably be SOOOO much more impactful for listeners if he used a professional. That's what they're for!!!
