*NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER* The No-Holds-Barred Truth About Life Inside the Gotti Dynasty—Told by Their Most Famous Daughter

Victoria Gotti never intended to reveal the inside story of the Gotti household—the day-to-day life of a family that has sparked scandalous rumors and sensational headlines for decades. But with the pressing need to finally set the record straight came the realization that only she can do so, once and for all.

Daughter to the late John Gotti, sister to John A. “Junior” Gotti and three other siblings, single mother to three sons with whom she shared reality television stardom on Growing Up Gotti, an outspoken columnist and bestselling author, Victoria Gotti delivers a candid, colorful, and brutally honest family portrait that reads like a confidential file, filled with deeply personal reflections, bombshell revelations, and stunning insider secrets.

The explosive memoir that captures the Gottis as they are—unvarnished, raw, and real—This Family of Mine is the essential chronicle in the ultimate American family saga.©2009 Victoria Gotti; (P)2009 Simon & Schuster

good but ... feels a tad one sided and I do respect her for being honest about her feelings of the life. but in the gist 3 hours she talks about how poor they are and how they are in the back of there father's Cadillac. I know when I think of poor I think Cadillac!

she says they are poor while in a Cadillac

Very well written… A daughter’s view of the life. I’m sure she left a lot out Victoria is an excellent writer and I enjoyed her book very much. She loves her family more then anything and the life took it all away it’s very sad she couldn’t get past all the pain. Great read.

Love

I’ll admit I expected to hear mob tales of glamour and riches but what I listened to was the raw truth and reality I really enjoyed hearing her story it makes me look at her in a whole new light

It is a fascinating and unique story. It's easy to get lost in the book. The invisible things we inherit at birth are addressed in this cautionary tale. Culture is the primary focus. The culture of poverty, crime, ancestry, and immigration to name a few. Reading the first half of the book is like reading Charles Dickens or Victor Hugo. I was stunned by the talent. As she focuses on herself more in the later part of the book it becomes more of a modern-day story and you can feel her trauma as her voice changes. She doesn't like to talk about herself. You can feel the invisible burdens and challenges she faced. The constant treason she struggled to live through, within a crime and fame culture became very real. The compromises she was forced to make to survive within those cultures were major and critical turning points. The everyday invisible injustices she had to endure are subtle but soul-killing turns. You hope that at the end of some future chapter, she will someday realize it was she, that is the diamond in the rough. Not her father. I wasn't able to put the book down.

Great Writer!

Victoria Gotti shares her family's story so honestly, at times I found tears in my eyes, feeling the pain, struggles and loss.
I've followed her family for years, first learning of her when A&E aired the show "Growing up Gotti". She is a woman to be reckoned with......proving above all else, that ONLY family truly matters in life.

Gripping and heartfelt.

Victoria does an excellent job telling her story. I didn’t want it to end! But also felt bad for her, “the life”
isn’t what you think it is

It’s like watching a movie

I loved everything about it. I loved that Victoria read it aloud herself, you can really feel what she felt throughout.

Very personal, it must have been hard to relive those memories. Definitely an insight into the family.
