Acerca de esta escucha

This book consists of 35 letters that I wrote to my aunt while I was serving in Vietnam from October of 1967 1968. The letters contain my thoughts as a young Marine and continued through the end of my tour where I was still young but far more experienced. The letters came to me when my aunt mailed them to me 33 years after Vietnam. One of her comments was she believed that I should have the letters published. My thoughts were that they were too personal to be published and would not be of any benefit to anyone.

It is my opinion now that these letters might hold some insight into the young people that are in current times serving their country. It seems we all share a lot of commonalities, and I am hopeful that men and women who are serving at this time will draw some comfort from these letters. I'm also hopeful these letters will inspire others who will face difficulties after their tours to meet the challenge of readjusting.

The author was the narrator and it was not very well done. When first I heard the southern drawl it was ok, but after two or three letters, I was done. This was an amateur effort to say the least.
These are letters from the author to his family members during his time of service in Vietnam - about his checking account, girls, where he was assigned etc.

Maybe someone else can get something out of this, but I zoned out when trying to listen.
I don't recommend it.
