Publisher's Summary

Can Chelsea put aside her past to see what's standing right in front of her?

First Lieutenant Peter Marshall has never felt as safe and whole as he does at Three Rivers Ranch. With massive scars covering most of his upper body, he's self-conscious and searching for his life's purpose. He thinks he's found it in Courage Reins, an equine therapy program for veterans he's starting out at the ranch. He didn't plan on the beautiful Chelsea Ackerman looking at his deformities with admiration.

After her second failed engagement, Chelsea vows she'll never wear another diamond ring. But as she and Pete work together to train the horses and launch Courage Reins, she heals faster than she thought possible. Pete has a truckload of debt and no way to provide for a family, but Chelsea helps him see past all the obstacles, all the scars.

With so many unknowns, Pete and Chelsea will have to develop the love, acceptance, and faith needed to find their happily ever after.

Coming home and finding her cowboy

Another great sweet romance by Liz Isaacson! Real traumas and healing, bringing two broken people together. Liz has a way of drawing you into the characters and cheering for their HEA. Three River’s Ranch is a great place for cowboys to heal. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the story and characters to life.

Brett & Katir

I debated overt his rating. The premise is good, but the details are not in line with the ending. The Army information is not correct. There is no title of "Commander," the award for his heroism during a previous deployment was terribly wrong, etc. The inserts of the unsent letters/ emails was distracting and added to the frustration of their fractured marriage. If he never signed the paperwork, who would ever think it was completed. Katie's desire to be with Brett was unbelievable because she never tried or showed she wanted to try. She broke all of her promises, avoided talking with Brett, continued to run away, and made Brett do all of the work. Great narration.

Love this series

Wonderful sweet romance with great characters and a believable story. Audible books are new for me and it took a little getting used to but the narration was well done and enjoyable to listen to. I will buy more audible books from this author. I really love this series.

Clean Christian Romance

* I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review Story: 3 stars The story was good...I had a difficult time understanding how the the heroine could not even boil water. It was too over-the-top. I did understand her guilt at not grieving over her fiancé, who had committed suicide after controlling every aspect of her life. She had some serious healing to do. The hero was truly a hero and had some serious PTSD to work through. I really like him UNTIL he all but rejects the heroine. Her character arc was coming to fruition and his insecurities affected her and sent her back down a spiral for a while. I did enjoy the fact that when they were both more secure in their skins is when the author finally brought them together for good. I guess I just had a hard time connecting with this particular set of characters. Narrator: 4.5 stars Ms. Doughty does an excellent job. She has a nice Texas accent and her voice is deep enough that her men sound like men. I like the speed she narrates and her expressions are appropriate for the situations they portray. *poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special

Great listen/read

The characters were well written & kept me interested throughout the entire story. I fell in love with Kelly & Pete. I loved the raw honesty of this story. This was a sweet romance with several obstacles thrown in the mix. Becky Doughty does a fantastic job narrating this story & bringing the life to the characters.

Mending broken people

A sweet romance involving horses. The healing power of animals is evident, no matter what the problem. The lack of cooking talent was humorous. Thanks to the author for providing a copy for my voluntary review.

Cute story

Chelsea has two broken engagements. While Peter has scars from being a veteran, that cover his body. Both need healing mentally and physically, not wanting people around. They have a strong desire to launch Courage Reins . Can they also get the courage to take the reins of their lives and try again. Good read for all to enjoy., given book by author for my honest opinion.

Love this series

This is another great book in the series. I loved it! It doesn’t hurt my feelings that it’s about a place close to my town which is mentioned often in the book, but that aside, this is a really wonderfully sweet story about hurt, healing, love and and learning to trust. It’s full of integrity and morality. If you are expecting steamy, you won’t get it. You will get chemistry and honesty! I hope to get the next book and start it as quickly as possible! Love❤️

Third Time's the Charm

This is a very gripping story that grabbed me right from the start to the finish. You may need a box of tissues. I love how the Author brought the story out and how the Narrator really brought the characters out with the voices. I definitely recommend this audiobook. I wasn't able to put it down until I finished it. Shauna Joesten
