Publisher's summary

When escaping, one should make a plan. Someone should have told past-me that first....

I also need to fix a little issue or four if I ever escape. "Surprise, I have a caster for mate" wasn’t exactly how I saw my wedding going. I also didn’t see this. He betrayed me. Now that I’ve found my powers, you’d think I know what I’m doing.

The betrayal among the wolves is worse than ever, and I’m not sure how to end it. Add in that my past is catching up to me and I just have more questions. One problem at a time, I guess. So who’s telling my mates about the new guy, and how do I get rid of the bad guy once and for all?

This is the third and final book in the Howling for Her series.

Bit of a disappointment

So I’ve enjoyed this series.bathe narration was done really well and brought the story to life. After the building of the first two I just think this ending fell a little flat and was a bit abrupt. I wish we had a little more resolution and maybe a little epilogue to see how it all turned out. Overall it’s a good listen.

Great End to the Series!

This is the third and final book in the “Howling for Her” series.  Fiona now has 4 mates and is learning how to use her magic and there is a fight to win.  This story is packed with emotion, action, danger and heat. You don’t want to miss the end of this story.  The cast of narrators did a great job on this book!

Third comes mates

Book 3 of Fionas's story picked up where the last book left off. It's amazing to see how much she changed from the start of the series. She has finally come into her wolf and her magic, and now the final battle begins. I enjoyed seeing how the author wrapped things up in the end of the series. The narration was helpful in giving each of her mates their own voice. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam

Mixed results

To say Fiona's wedding night didn't go as expected is an understatement. Kidnapped, mated to Nick, betrayed by her new mate, held by her enemy, escaping, discovering pieces of her past, and having to explain a new caster mate to her wolf mates is definitely not the evening she dreamed of. Now she has four angry, upset men, and their anger and her power are overwhelming her. With war at their doorstep, there's no time for hurt egos. They all need to get on the same page to save the packs. What will it take to get them to get along?

Entertaining but not always enjoyable. I lost patience with Fiona's wolf shifters, especially Noah. The jealousy, pettiness, and immaturity grated on me. I understand being upset but once they saw they were hurting Fiona and later putting the pack in danger, the selfishness became too much. Add in the fact that the answer to everything was sex, and this final book was a letdown. I did love the revelations regarding Fiona's past and would have loved to explore that part of the storyline more.

Sarah Puckett, Jay Alder, Tom Haire, Tim Paige, and Jason Lasky narrated the story to mixed results. Sarah is always excellent. She has limited range (meaning her characters generally sound alike) but her vocal quality and delivery are fantastic. I wasn't as enamored with the male narrators. Unfortunately, I don't know which guy voiced which character, so I can't be specific. My favorite was Nick which was not the case in the earlier books, so well done. Drake's narrator has done a good job in all of the books, so kudos to him as well. Aiden's narrator was okay most of the book but had moments where his voice and/or delivery missed the mark which was a shame with such a good character. And Noah's narrator didn't capture him at all. He alternated between geek (and not the sexy kind) and creep. His delivery worked against the character for me in this final book making me dislike him at times. Not the intent of any narrator!

A good trilogy

This ended up being a pretty good trilogy. Who would have thought things would turn out the way they did! Most def not me. I mean it was obvious there was something special about Fiona. But all... that...totally unexpected. I really wish we learned more about that. Like a little less smut (even though the smut was pretty good, so keep the smut and add a few more pages lol). A little more history and story/ plot line aspects. How when Fi find out who she really is, there will be a lot of changes happening b/c of all of that. And the whole extra Alpha thing. That's totally not normal from the way the book made it sound. I'm a recovering addict though (over 5.5 years off the H this time, yay), so needing MORE is kinda an issue of mine lol.

I heard it was the last book, idk if its true...but there is totally room for more book in this series if the author really wanted to. I honestly think that these books would have turned out better if they were one book. Keep all of book 1, half of book 2, and most of book 3. Put them all together and this would have been a Bad A$$ novel. THEN, I woulda popped out two more. (lol, I know its not that easy, And I am by no means an expert.) So really, my only complaint about this series is that I wanted MORE. It was a good series, it could have been a GREAT series. But I am still happy that I listened to all three books. And I definitely recommend reading them. I laughed throughout. The men are so funny. And Effin Nick!!! I still believe that, even if not EVERYONE in the books believes that anymore lol. (no real spoilers from me)! But if this is the last book in the series/trilogy, than I look forward to see what Michelle Z comes out with next. Oh and the narrators were great as well! Having 5 narrators was awesome. It made things less confusing. And if you don't recognize the voice, the POV is listed on the chapters. Over all, a great series. I can't wait to see what MZ has instore for us next! Keep up the great work everyone! Your all amazing!

Decent finale, was upset with treatment by mates

So I had high hopes for the finale, I think the first half of the book was a 4 stars. It had everything I look for in a book. I appreciated the added complication of Nick but loved how she stood up for him to her other mates and gave him crap and held him accountable for what he did/made her think. There was a lot of miscommunication and poor decision-making between her and Nick but I thought it had enough tension but not over the top. The ending was good, seemed a tad rushed with the confrontation and the clean-up with who we thought was the real baddie. I liked Aiden in this one and Nick. Drake was ok, I was waiting to see how the author resolved the 2 alphas battling for dominance/who was the actual leader but that didnt really get addressed.

Noah actually made me super mad and almost made me stop listening all together. Also how the guys treated her and she just cowered to them when they were trying to blame her for what happened with Nick. I was waiting for her to kick some booty with Noah and Drake being d-bags. She started to, but then Aiden said something pretty bad and Noah treated her like poo on his shoe and I was ready to be done. I don’t think they groveled enough. I get them being upset, but be upset with Nick not her. It just rubbed me the wrong way and kept me from giving this a 4 star rating like it would have gotten if this didnt happen.

Narration was good for this one. Sounded like we got a new narrator for Nick and he did a good job, wasn’t irritating or anything. Aiden’s narrator still bugged me but the POVs were spread out more so we didnt get him as much which was fine by me. I thought the female narrator did a good job capturing all the emotions our wolf hybrid was going through, so much inner turmoil over all the things leading up to the big final and how she had to handle herself.
