What would you do if your child was diagnosed with cancer? Who would you reach out to? How would you and your family survive? If you want to know the answer to any of these questions, then this book is for you.

50 Things to Know About Parenting a Pediatric Cancer Survivor: Our Story of Battling the Beast, by Valerie Kline, offers an insight to pediatric cancer treatment that comes from personal experience. Most books on the topic tell you the facts and statistics, or ask for donations. Although there’s nothing wrong with that, this book offers an insider’s story combined with knowledge from research and experts.

By the time you finish this book, you will know how to learn from and let go of the worst experience a parent can live through. You will be warned of the overwhelming challenges - physical, mental, and emotional. You will understand the resources available to you and why to ask for help. There will be facts and terminology used to explain the various treatments available for the many types and stages of cancer. There will be stories that break your heart and stories that offer hope. Whether you are a parent, or know a parent, grab your copy today. You’ll be glad you did.

Everyone would benefit from this book!

What a way to remind the world not to take the "small" things for granted. What a courageous way to face your trauma! The IMAGINE section is so powerful! we don't need pity but support, action, and awareness.
