What happens when you drop an American family with three small children into the post-Communist chaos of outer Mongolia?

There's a Sheep in My Bathtub chronicles the adventures of the Hogan family as they try to follow God's leading into one of the world's most remote and mysterious enclaves. Disarmingly honest and charmingly humorous, their tale will thrill you and bring tears to your eyes. An intensely personal memoir, this book still manages to pack a powerful dose of missionary insight and biblical principles for seeing the Church explode into life among peoples that have never even heard of Jesus. Get comfortable. You will not be able to stop listening.

The story itself is fascinating, heartwarming, miraculous, and authentically personal. Getting to hear it read by the author himself amplifies all these qualities. Brian writes in a way that makes you feel as if you're traveling with him to Mongolia when it was barely starting to open up.

Also, his detailed accounts of his experiences in planting a church, which range from amazing miracles to great sorrow, boosted my faith in new ways. I was so encouraged by what God had done for Brian and also for others in Mongolia.

I enjoyed hearing about the funny things that happened as they often do in cross-cultural experiences. Brian is quite the storyteller — I'm sure there are plenty more stories up his sleeve, and I hope to get to hear more!

An already engaging story is made even better with the author reading it aloud

Brian, wouldn't claim it, but in my opinion, he is a hero and model of what a church planter should be. His response to the successes, failures and grief, can be an example for anyone, not just on the field but in everyday life.

Inspiring, heart-wrenching and convicting

Brian Hogan does an incredible job recounting his story in Mongolia. Through tears of sadness and joy, and with much laughter, Brian takes us on a whirlwind adventure giving an outsiders inside view at how God birthed many new children of the Kingdom in Mongolia. This sure to be a classic story told in homes around the world for many years to come.
