Publisher's summary

Carly Gallagher doesn't make mistakes. Until one day she makes one that causes the death of someone she cares about. She would turn to the man she loves more than anything - if he were free to love her in return.

Phillip Morrison's life turned upside down the moment he met Carly. Everything he thought was right turned out to be the exact opposite. He has to make a lot of choices, but one thing is clear: he loves Carly and he has to find a way to claim her.

Chaos runs wild through their lives, and just when it looks like they have a chance to be together - fate has other plans. Traitors, friends, and enemies - it becomes hard to decipher which is which, and trust becomes a luxury they can no longer afford. They have to fight not only for the love they both share, but for their very lives.

Decent quick & fast paced novella

There You'll Be: Begin Again by Dawn Brower is a pretty solid novella coming in at an hour and forty minutes. Is it a very deep story? No. It's difficult to go deep with such a quick listen. That being said, it was enjoyable for a quick listen. There aren't any fillers, but it's a solid listen. At the center of the story are Carly and Philip, two partners that are in love with each other, though neither has professed their feelings because, well, Philip is still married. Well, things take a turn and there's a bit of suspense and mystery added in that make this an enjoyable listen. I don't want to give away any spoilers.

Rose O'Toole did a good job with the narration. There were a few hiccups in the narration, but nothing too major. One example was in Chapter 7. The word was something like animated and she pronounced it am-i-nated. Yeah, I totally rewound it to see if I had heard incorrectly. Overall a good listen though. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

It's a bit is a mystery

This is an enjoyable short book that left me with as many questions as it answered.

The how of everything really isn't covered and I wish it had been. Besides that this was a nice way to spend an afternoon. Good characters and a sweet romance make.

The character voices are good and the delivery was enjoyable.

Okay story

BOOK REVIEW......
The book was just okay. It needed more depth to the story and characters.

NARRATOR REVIEW.......
The narrator was okay but could use work. The male voices especially needs work.

Good narration. Story needs greater detail.

Rose O’Toole narrates this fast-paced short story. The narration is well paced; the voices and emotions are distinct. Rose’s male voices well suit the characters.

FBI Agent Carly Gallagher is reeling from the death of colleague and is feeling responsible. The one person she wants to turn to is her colleague Phillip Morrison but he is unavailable to her; the married type of unavailable.

A year down the track, (see? I told you it was fast paced), Phillip is no longer married and when Carly’s safety is threatened he is determined to protect her and together solve the mystery that resulted in their colleague’s death the year before.

The writing is pared down so you get a lot of action in a short period of time. There is no excess in this tightly woven story. So much so, that I had to re-listen to a portion of the book because things occurred too quickly. Our couple do get their HEA but it’s just a touch too fast for my liking. I would have liked to spend more time with Carly and Phillip once they got together.

Good Writing Kept My Interest

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Very short so it jumps right in. FBI partners in love but with one being married, their feelings can’t be expressed. Tragedy hits and Carly and she finds sympathy in Phillip. He is in a bad marriage and soon finds out why. He and Carly now have a life and death problem to face.

Interesting premise that starts out with little to no hope for romance and makes such a sudden twist that begs for a longer book with more background. Nonetheless, it’s fun and keeps the pace up to the end.

Rose O’Toole does a fine job!

This was an okay story.

This is the second story I've listened to by Mrs. Brower and needless to say, she's got my attention. While I wouldn't say there was really anything original (concept) in the story, it held my attention.

Narrator: I wasn't so much a fan of this narrator. There's obviously some narrators that instantly click with me when I hear their voice, while some don't. I'm sure that's the case with all audiobook listeners.

Questions/Comments:

1. Unless I missed something, I don't understand how Phil's wife got into the mess the listener finds her in at the end of the story. She doesn't seem to have an accomplice, yet she was able to get ahold of Logan. When exactly did that happen though? How had she ever found out about the secret information? I felt like there were a lot of unanswered questions in this story and not the type of cliffhanger answers that would be better left to the next book.
