We all know how difficult 2020 has been. And in the beginning of the pandemic, self care was a popular topic. But as the months wore on, many of us got away from it. And the holidays are a time when self care is needed.
Cally says it's important to acknowledge sadness and feelings of loss during COVID, and not just push those feelings to the side. Therapists and mindfulness can be great tools.
Are you working from home? Create separation between home space and work space - both physical difference, and maybe even showering and/or changing clothes when transitioning from one to other.
Don't be afraid of holiday weight gain. Listen to your body at this time and don't be afraid to give it what it needs. That includes a little bit of grace.
Empaths who are taking care of people at this time may also experience weight gain as the body reacts to its environment.
Cally talks about not body positivity, but body neutrality. She explains.
