Publisher's Summary

Taken. Prized. Possessed. Loved.

Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one.

His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy his depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.

The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.

But, can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?

Tank: The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s daddy.

Pyro: Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence.

Boar: Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly.

Drake: Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.

Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or, has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

Please note: Their Bounty is a dark, gay harem contemporary romance and the first in the Four Mercenaries trilogy. The story contains scenes of explicit violence, offensive language, morally ambiguous characters, and lots of scorching-hot, emotional, explicit scenes.

Drake. Drake. Drake!

Since there are four lovers in this series, I want to start by rating them from my fav to least fav.
1. Drake
2. Boar
3. Tank
4. Pyro

Drake will probably get a bad rep for most readers/listeners from the beginning, but I was always in love with him. I love a good tsundere/prickly character. He did do one thing that upset me, but otherwise, he was my favorite throughout. You just have to give him some time to defrost. :D

Boar is bear that is the epitome of a teddy bear. He loves hard and fast, but is sensitive at heart. He will be the center of the conflict that made me dislike Pyro later in the story. I don't blame Boar, which is why he is still at the top of my list.

Tank is daddy that wants Clover to be his perfect boy. He's the leader of the group and would have been number one on my list, but I became numb to him midway through the story. I'm upset with him for the Pyro/Clover/Boar conflict for just standing by and allowing it to escalate as far as it did.

Now...Pyro. At the beginning of the story, I loved so much that it hurt to turn on him midway through the story. Yes, he did have his redeeming moments, but that whole conflict with Clover had tainted my view on him beyond full repair. His sense of humor and teasing manner were so likeable that I never expected he would be at the bottom of my list...well, he's higher than Clover at least. Also, I never found out Pyro's age...that bugged me as far as plot and story elements went, but I will talk more on that after getting through my opinion on Clover.

-Sigh- Clover. Clover. Cloverrrrr! I have to say that I lost hope on him early on in the story. He just kept doing things that he knew he shouldn't and constantly doubted everyone. He had no belief or trust in his men and gave up way too quickly. He didn't know when enough was enough and he was a whiny brat a lot. I honestly looked forward to the POVs of the other characters because he was so exhausting at times. I needed a break from Clover and I really needed more Drake. I believe he only had one POV and it was the best thing since sliced bread. He gave Clover the reality check that he desperately needed.

Okay, this book lacked details that I hate not knowing, even at the end I was left wondering. Why was Boar the only one that had his real name revealed? Tank and Pyro are obviously not their real names. I'm not sure if Drake's name was really Drake or not. And Boar's real name is Jamie. Also, why did no one think that allowing Clover to appear on camera was a bad idea? How did they not realize it would be used against them in some way? Okay, I'm done ranting about that. Overall, it was another great book by the fabulous K.A. Merikan with Wyatt Baker as the narrator. That duo was enough for me to click the buy button. I look forward to next book they collaborate on.

Hot!

This book is hot as lava! Full of sexy, naughty times but also a soul-gripping plot! I can not wait for the next book and I’ll also have to hang tight for the audio because I can’t get enough of Wyatt Baker!

He does such a great job voice acting, to the point where there is five guys in a scene and you know who is who just by his voice for them! Great job, Wyatt!

Sick, so f$&king sick 😷

5 Blue Roses
5 Blue Flames

Narrator Wyatt Baker once again successfully brought the first book of K.A. Merikan's highly erotic series to life. His voice is gruffly sexy and is absolutely fitting for bad-ass mercenaries.
My opinion about this book balanced on a hair thin line between morally right and wrong. The four mercenaries who saved Clover from an exotic human collector, hardly gave poor Clover a chance to enjoy his freedom before they were on him like bunch of starving hyenas.
The introduction to plot is uniquely backwards.
Almost like K.A. Merikan's Misha who was a bilateral leg amputee, being rescued by an assassin with a stump fetish, in His Favorite Color Is Blood. As the plot grows I got to know the groupie intimately and connected with each mercenary, Clover included, and by the end of the book they were all unsung heroes in my eyes.

I definitely recommend this audiobook, it is intense, hard core and so wrong on so many levels.

Interesting plot, bad writing, worse reading

Wyatt Baker chews off every sentence as if he’s constantly angry or trying very hard to sound tough. It makes listening to the author’s unimaginative writing style very tedious. But I suspect that even good writing would be ruined by this reader. Who selects these guys?

Definitely an erotically charged listen

It took me a while to get into this book. At first, I didn't like any of the characters, so it was hard for me to become invested in the story. But, I didn't give up hope because I have enjoyed all of these authors'work, and I am really glad I stuck it out.

The harem starts out with Tank being the first to accept Clover, and as the leader, his opinion holds a lot of weight. He takes on the Daddy role, which I never fully understood, but he and Clover developed the first, and strongest bond through most of the book.

Then there are Boar and Pyro, an already established couple, but definitely not afraid to involve the new toy as payment for a job. One of the major conflicts involves these two, and made it hard to like them for a while; even sweet, teddy bear, Boar.

Last, we have Drake. He's the brooding skeptic in the group; the last hold out against Clover's charms. He has his reasons, and for a few minutes, he believes he has proof that the boy is exactly what he has been saying all along. He causes some trouble for Clover that almost leads to a bad situation at one point, but once he realizes what is going on in Clover's head, he gives a piece of himself that he keeps close to the vest.

The story mainly focuses on the building relationships between the four mercs and Clover, but it does have a story arc that comes back around. It finally shows Clover that even though he can be a whiny brat at times, he has finally found safety, security, loyalty, and love.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next with Clover and his four men. There are definitely some hot and heavy sexy times, and the book can get a bit dark, but I wouldn't expect anything less from these authors.

Once again, when Wyatt Baker and K A Merikan get together, we're in for an awesome listen. He did an amazing job with the amount of characters and keeping their voices distinguished. The emotions really come through during his performance, and it's always a pleasure.

I became very invested in this series

Four Mercenaries, Tank, Pyro, Boar and Drake. These guys take on the jobs that others shy away from, and their main targets are child traffickers, the scum of the earth.

Clover is a young albino who has been through the fostering system and then worked for a modern-day Fagin. However, his luck runs out when he's sold to human traffickers.

Such great characters, and I love how Clover adapts to his surroundings and knows how to persuade older men to get his way, let's just say daddy/boy.

The narration was first class, great character voices, and it sold the story to me. Plus, as always, hot sex scenes are throughout the book.

Pure smut.

First, the narration of Wyatt Baker was great and I liked the different voice he choose for every character.
I love the Kings of Hell MC series and was intrigued about this ménage story.
I know it would be hot and dirty and K.A. Merikan didn't disappoint me... But I wished the story had a bit more depth and character development (and a little bit less sexy time) especially at the beginning.

OMG, that was intense!!! A seriously thrilling ride!

I’ll preface this review by saying I did try to read this book back when it was released and just couldn’t quite get into it. It’s AMAZING what audio can do for a book. When I read the story it felt was very dark and dubious and I admittedly didn’t like how some of the characters were coming across in my head (this is no reflection on the authors, it’s just how my brain interpreted what I was reading). But Wyatt’s reading is FANTASTIC and he is able to add just the right inflections on the characters that they don’t seem so dubious and his rendition completely drew me into the story and I’m SO glad he did because it is totally awesome!!

The story is an amazingly complex, and lusty adventure, with danger, passion and new emotions for all involved throughout. There is just so much passion and steam, the pages were definitely set on fire!!!!

I loved Clover! So unique, special, sweet, and innocent in some ways but ridiculously strong in others. He has a big heart and completely endeared me to him! I loved the passion and ‘lack’ of inhibitions he has around sex and his desire to keep himself safe.

I loved all the guys (eventually) and they each brought their own personality and uniqueness to the table. I felt they all complimented each other but were all so uniquely different you can’t compare each of them. I feel this is an amazing feat with so many bold and dominant characters in one book! Kat and Ange have created such a well-rounded book, full of passion, danger, suspense, curiosity, and so much heat! I think this was a fantastic start to the trilogy and I’m so very glad I gave the audio a chance! It’s AWESOME!!

Thanks for reading!

Expressive narration

Although I have read lots of mmm books, this is the first harem book I've read or listened to...all male or otherwise. I was a bit wary at first, but having both the audio and ebook made it a much easier introduction than it might otherwise have been.

First off, let me say that I loved listening to Wyatt Baker as narrator. He reads clearly and at the right pace for the story, uses lots of expression in his voice and infuses life into the 5 main characters. I particularly enjoyed Drake's and the "villain's" voices.

I am starting to enjoy darker reads again, and the authors are particularly good at getting the balance between light and dark right. The personalities of the mercenaries are all different shades of grey, but these men are incredibly loyal to each other and work together as a cohesive unit. I like how Drake thaws out somewhat as time progresses and the tender moments he shares with one of the other three (no spoilers!). I did enjoy how Clover is written too. Yes, he can he contrary, but isn't it the point that Daddy enjoys his bratty boy?

Anyway, 5 stars all around from me and I'm looking forward to carrying on with the series.
