Publisher's Summary

Taken. Prized. Possessed. Loved.

Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one.

His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy his depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.

The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.

But, can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?

Tank: The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s daddy.

Pyro: Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence.

Boar: Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly.

Drake: Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.

Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or, has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

Please note: Their Bounty is a dark, gay harem contemporary romance and the first in the Four Mercenaries trilogy. The story contains scenes of explicit violence, offensive language, morally ambiguous characters, and lots of scorching-hot, emotional, explicit scenes.

Drake. Drake. Drake!

Since there are four lovers in this series, I want to start by rating them from my fav to least fav.
1. Drake
2. Boar
3. Tank
4. Pyro

Drake will probably get a bad rep for most readers/listeners from the beginning, but I was always in love with him. I love a good tsundere/prickly character. He did do one thing that upset me, but otherwise, he was my favorite throughout. You just have to give him some time to defrost. :D

Boar is bear that is the epitome of a teddy bear. He loves hard and fast, but is sensitive at heart. He will be the center of the conflict that made me dislike Pyro later in the story. I don't blame Boar, which is why he is still at the top of my list.

Tank is daddy that wants Clover to be his perfect boy. He's the leader of the group and would have been number one on my list, but I became numb to him midway through the story. I'm upset with him for the Pyro/Clover/Boar conflict for just standing by and allowing it to escalate as far as it did.

Now...Pyro. At the beginning of the story, I loved so much that it hurt to turn on him midway through the story. Yes, he did have his redeeming moments, but that whole conflict with Clover had tainted my view on him beyond full repair. His sense of humor and teasing manner were so likeable that I never expected he would be at the bottom of my list...well, he's higher than Clover at least. Also, I never found out Pyro's age...that bugged me as far as plot and story elements went, but I will talk more on that after getting through my opinion on Clover.

-Sigh- Clover. Clover. Cloverrrrr! I have to say that I lost hope on him early on in the story. He just kept doing things that he knew he shouldn't and constantly doubted everyone. He had no belief or trust in his men and gave up way too quickly. He didn't know when enough was enough and he was a whiny brat a lot. I honestly looked forward to the POVs of the other characters because he was so exhausting at times. I needed a break from Clover and I really needed more Drake. I believe he only had one POV and it was the best thing since sliced bread. He gave Clover the reality check that he desperately needed.

Okay, this book lacked details that I hate not knowing, even at the end I was left wondering. Why was Boar the only one that had his real name revealed? Tank and Pyro are obviously not their real names. I'm not sure if Drake's name was really Drake or not. And Boar's real name is Jamie. Also, why did no one think that allowing Clover to appear on camera was a bad idea? How did they not realize it would be used against them in some way? Okay, I'm done ranting about that. Overall, it was another great book by the fabulous K.A. Merikan with Wyatt Baker as the narrator. That duo was enough for me to click the buy button. I look forward to next book they collaborate on.

Hot!

This book is hot as lava! Full of sexy, naughty times but also a soul-gripping plot! I can not wait for the next book and I’ll also have to hang tight for the audio because I can’t get enough of Wyatt Baker!

He does such a great job voice acting, to the point where there is five guys in a scene and you know who is who just by his voice for them! Great job, Wyatt!

Sick, so f$&king sick 😷

5 Blue Roses
5 Blue Flames

Narrator Wyatt Baker once again successfully brought the first book of K.A. Merikan's highly erotic series to life. His voice is gruffly sexy and is absolutely fitting for bad-ass mercenaries.
My opinion about this book balanced on a hair thin line between morally right and wrong. The four mercenaries who saved Clover from an exotic human collector, hardly gave poor Clover a chance to enjoy his freedom before they were on him like bunch of starving hyenas.
The introduction to plot is uniquely backwards.
Almost like K.A. Merikan's Misha who was a bilateral leg amputee, being rescued by an assassin with a stump fetish, in His Favorite Color Is Blood. As the plot grows I got to know the groupie intimately and connected with each mercenary, Clover included, and by the end of the book they were all unsung heroes in my eyes.

I definitely recommend this audiobook, it is intense, hard core and so wrong on so many levels.

Happy Listening

Audio version, Finally!!!

When I completed reading to this series, I couldn't wait for it to get on audio. I want both sets. So can't wait to hear the next book.

Ahh Clo and his Mercenaries. There is Tank, the leader and Daddy Dom to Clo, Boer who is a bear of a man but a teddy bear to Clo. His lover, Pyro who loves Boer and is enamored with Clo. Then there is Drake. Troubled by his past and very difficult to trust others. He also falls for Clo.

Clo is a scared older teenager that gets caught up in circumstances beyond his control. He is saved by these four men that ends up holding him captive. Some may see Clo as a bit whiney, but I get it. He is young and never had anyone. The people he had begun to trust sold him out. Literally.
In this first book of the Four Mercenaries series, we get to know these five men. It is a dark gay harem romance. It may not be for everyone but I loved it.
Wyatt brought life to these characters and kept us engaged throughout the book.
All in all a great listen. Can't wait for book 2
