Welcome to Lose Weight for the Last Time—the podcast for women who are done with dieting, food drama, and starting over every Monday.

I’m Laura Conley, life coach and creator of the Yummy Mummy method, and I’m here to show you that permanent weight loss doesn’t come from more restriction, more tracking, or more willpower—it comes from changing how you think.

If you’ve tried everything—calorie counting, macros, cutting carbs, over-exercising—and still feel stuck… it’s not because you’re broken. It’s because you’ve been taught methods that don’t last.

On this podcast, you’ll learn how to:

→ Lose weight without giving up the foods you love

→ Stop emotional eating and constant cravings

→ Quiet the food chatter in your brain

→ Feel in control around food—without obsession

→ Create results that actually stick for life

  • What If You're Just "Someone Who Can't Follow Through".
    Apr 2 2026

Hey babes! This is the FIRST episode of the brand new Lose Weight for the Last Time 2.0 🎉

We are officially splitting from Free The Moms and bringing this podcast back to its roots—weight loss, health, wellness, and becoming the woman who actually follows through. If you’ve been here a while, you don’t have to do anything. But if you want more mom-life content, make sure you’re subscribed to the Free The Moms podcast too!

    Okay…now let’s get into it.

Today we’re tackling something that secretly keeps so many women stuck: the belief that you just can’t trust yourself. Like…what if you’re just someone who doesn’t follow through? What if that’s just “who you are”?

Yeah. We’re not letting that fly anymore.

In this episode, I’m breaking down exactly why that thought is NOT a fact (even if it feels like one), and how it’s actually creating the very results you don’t want. We’re diving into identity, habits, and the real reason willpower hasn’t worked for you—and spoiler alert: it’s not because you’re broken.

If you’ve ever said, “I’m just bad at sticking with things” or “I can’t keep promises to myself,” this is going to shift everything for you.

    Here’s what we’re getting into:

    - Why “I can’t trust myself” is just a thought—not your identity

    - How your beliefs are literally creating your results (yes, even your weight)

    - The simple identity shift that changes everything

    - Why your brain keeps pulling you back into old habits (and how to stop it)

    - How to start collecting real evidence that you DO follow through

And babe…this is bigger than weight loss. This applies to EVERYTHING.

Also!! If you’re ready to actually apply this work and see real results, come join my 21-Day Challenge: Lose 10 Pounds by Memorial Day Without Doing Stuff You Hate 💅

  • Fill Your Cup First: The Radical Case for Doing What You Want
    Mar 24 2026

Hey babe, this episode is going to hit you right in the heart (in the best way). We’re diving into something so many of us feel but rarely say out loud: why it feels so hard to want what we want… and even harder to actually let ourselves have it.

If you’ve ever told yourself “it’s not justifiable,” “it’s not the right time,” or “I should spend that on something more practical”… this one is for you. Because what if the thing you’re denying yourself is actually the exact thing your life (and your family) needs?

We’re talking all about desire, worthiness, and what it really looks like to stop abandoning yourself and start living your life fully.

In this episode, we get into:

    - Why so many women don’t even let themselves *want* what they want

    - The sneaky guilt and “justification trap” that keeps you stuck

    - How retreats (or any investment in yourself) create real transformation before you even go

    - Why dreaming can feel scary—and what that actually means

    - The journaling exercise to uncover what’s really holding you back

    - How to give your desires equal airtime (instead of shutting them down)

    - Why filling your cup is NOT selfish—it’s the best thing you can do for your family

    - The truth about resilience, control, and letting things fall apart (a little)

This is your permission slip to stop waiting, stop over-explaining, and start choosing yourself.

If you’ve been craving more joy, more freedom, more YOU… this is where it starts.

  • When to Push and When to Pause
    Mar 10 2026

Hey babe! Today we're diving into a question that comes up constantly on a weight loss journey, and honestly, in life too:

When should you push... and when should you pause?

You wake up tired. Your workout is on the calendar. Your brain starts negotiating.

    "Maybe I should rest."

    "Maybe I should push through."

And suddenly you're stuck trying to figure out whether you're honoring your body...or just giving in to the quit voice.

In this episode, Nicole and I break down how to tell the difference.

Because sometimes your body truly does need rest. And sometimes your brain is just trying to talk you out of doing something hard. Learning how to tell those apart is a skill, and it's one that will completely change your relationship with discipline, motivation, and weight loss.

We talk about body attunement, how to listen to your body without letting excuses run the show, and why collecting data on yourself over time helps you make better decisions.

Remember: you're not supposed to get this perfectly right every single time. The goal is awareness and learning how to trust yourself again.

    In this episode we cover:

    - How to tell the difference between pushing yourself and overriding your body

    - The mindset shift that helps you stop quitting early

    - What "body attunement" actually looks like in real life

    - Why accountability partners make it easier to quiet the quit voice

    - The 10-minute rule that helps you make better decisions in the moment

    - How reflecting on your choices builds long-term self-trust

We also talk about finding the middle path, that place between pushing yourself too hard and letting excuses run the show.

If this conversation sparked something for you, I've got something exciting coming up.

We're hosting another Peptides Webinar on March 17th and March 27th, where we'll talk about how peptides may support your weight loss journey. This webinar will also include other moms sharing their experiences and answering questions live.

This podcast has been a great addition to my weekly routine. Laura’s infectious positivity brings a much needed lightness to life’s challenges and I have found her advice timely and uplifting on many occasions. Even though her messaging is geared towards weight loss, which is actively the opposite of my personal goal, I find the content is relevant to anyone looking for encouragement or help navigating tr messiness life and work and marriage and children. A must listen for moms!
