Set yourself up for success

What I liked about this book is that it felt genuinely beginner-friendly and practical. It wasn't full of intimidating business jargon. It laid out a step-by-step business plan that seemed easy enough for someone just starting out to follow. The ideas for funding a startup, especially those suited to tight budgets, were a huge plus, as that's often a major hurdle for young entrepreneurs.

I also appreciated the advice on how to find a mentor. That's something I hadn't even thought about, but it makes so much sense to have someone guide you. The book also tackled the fear of failure, which is a big one for anyone trying something new, and helped reframe risks as opportunities.

Very up to date with many areas such as using social platforms and current ideas to use in getting a new business started. Not only is this book great for young people interested in starting a business, it is also great for anyone wanting to start a new business. I could see this book as a wonderful resource for homeschooling families to use as a course as it covers so many practical subjects, such as time and money management. What a great time to dig into this book with your tween or teen and help them get a business off the ground over the summer months!

This author's tools and techniques cover things like budgeting, managing finances, and overcoming fear of failure. I believe this to be a great resource for anyone who is inspired to be in business for themselves.
