The Yoder Family Saga follows widow Miriam Yoder and her four unmarried daughters, Megan, Rebecca, Josephine, and Lillian, as they discover God’s plans for them and the hope He provides for a happy tomorrow.

Peace for Yesterday

Rebecca Yoder is twenty-years-old and fears she might be single forever. At one point, she was on the verge of being engaged to a handsome young man in town. Then things went sour, leaving Rebecca to wonder what is wrong with her and whether she is unlovable. Can she let go of her memories with her lost love long enough to find joy with another? Or, will her insecurities keep her from finding love again?

A Path for Tomorrow

Josephine Yoder works for bachelor Abe Schmidt on his horse farm despite her mother’s concerns. When a new farmhand arrives, tensions rise and tempers flare. However, a missing horse forces their unlikely alliance, igniting passions of a different sort. Will the horse thief be caught? Can Josephine’s wild heart be tamed, or will she be unwilling to sacrifice her independence?

Faith for the Future

A new student named Grace Eicher moves into the community to attend Megan Yoder’s school. Despite her best efforts, Megan finds herself drawn to the sad little girl and her baby brother, but especially to their widowed father. Is widower Jacob ready for someone new in his life, and will the children accept Megan as family? Will Megan leave her ailing mother for a chance at love?

Patience for the Present

Lillian Yoder is the baby of the family and is keen to grow up and find her way in the world. Noah Troyer has been captivated by Lillian since he was a young boy, but becoming an Amish wife is appalling to her. She wants to break free into the wide world just beyond her settlement. Can Noah capture Lillian’s heart before it’s stolen away by the ways of the world? Or, will the allure of the English lifestyle be too tempting for Lillian?

Return to Yesterday

Miriam Yoder is unsure about Abe Schmidt’s role in her family’s life despite the fact that her daughter Josephine has been working for him and sees him as a father figure. When Josephine discovers that Abe and her mother were once in a romantic relationship, she enlists the help of her sisters to reunite them. Will Abe forgive Miriam for past hurts? Will Miriam allow herself to love again?

Virtual narration not good

Hard to get into the books since the virtual narration, pronounced words incorrectly, and also was very monotone, so it made it hard to get into the story. Perhaps with a real person who could’ve felt something for the characters, but without it just felt monotonous.

It was hard getting pass the AI narration.

I love the story Ling and I especially love series that follows families. I absolutely didn't like the narration. It left the story flat and hard to get into. With the AI it didn't pronounce the words Pennsylvania Dutch or German words correctly. I would love to hear this series read by a person who has mastery of the language and can pronounce the words correctly.
