it is World Book Day so I want to yap to you about one of my new favorite books!!!

The Write Choice by @alliesambertswrites 🥹

Katie started working her way into my heart in the right time, but she STOLE my heart in this book. Kate + Brandon have a marriage in crisis, but still deeply love each other. And it is so dang raw and real and emotional.

The found family literally has me weeping in the pick up line today.

Not to play favorites, but this is right up there with Not a Strong Enough Word (comes out next month!!!)

Loved the dual narration and relatable characters!

I enjoyed the last installment in the Leade Park series! I’m sad to be leaving these characters, but loved all their stories. I found myself relating to Katie in this one, being a stay at home mom myself. I love the commitment and love between Katie and Brandon. It was so sweet. A great happy ending to a series I adored!

Amazing story and audio production!

I really enjoyed this story! Both characters make small growth throughout the book that feels very realistic.
Often books have huge sweeping changes that aren't realistic and end up taking me out of the story. I didn't find that here, at times because of the slow growth I wanted to yell at the characters to communicate or do something, I got a little invested
Katie and Brandon's backstory of their romance was sprinkled in and made the book feel romantic even when they were not getting along. The dual POV really helps you see how much love the characters have for each other and how hard they are both trying. There is a lot of pining, which I loved! Don't worry if you like spice, there are some well done scenes in there too! Lastly Katie is a genuinely great mom. There were times where I was a little annoyed with her complaining about parenting tasks, but I'm not a parent and might take that back and complain just as much when I'm there one day. love that Katie goes to therapy, love a character who takes care of their mental health! I also enjoyed the family moments, the kids in this book are hilarious! The story was beautifully written with unique characters and plotting.
It you're a Leade Park fan, don't worry the other Leade Park characters are all over this book! Mac and Jenny are there to support Katie. Daniel and Ben are there to call Brandon out when it's deserved.
The narrators are amazing and I loved how they portrayed the characters. Their pacing, emotional range, and connection to the story were spot on. Each character's voice was distinct so you always knew who was speaking. Will definitely be listening to other books they narrate! Plus they are married, so fun!
Special Note: Alcohol addiction is sensitively discussed in this book, as Katie the main character struggles with this. I thought it was written in a careful and thoughtful way, but you may want to be aware of this before diving in.

Between Brandon trying to figure out work life balance and Katie battling her own struggles with sobriety, loneliness and taking care of kids. When a chance opportunity of taking over his parents’ architecture firm he jumps at the chance, catch is…it’s in Chicago.

I just can’t put into words how much I really enjoyed this story. I was hooked from the very beginning. The struggles that Katie and Brandon are so relatable that I connected with them right away.

I loved having the previous characters from the other books present in this one. The found family built through friendships was so special and sweet.

This is the third book in the Leade Park series.
I would recommend this series and her other works, Allie is becoming one of my favorite authors.

Outstanding!

I read all 3 novels in this series and they are all wonderful! Each book in the series is a love story with realistic characters. During this 3 book series I almost felt like the characters were friends. The author is very talented and makes the reader feel part of each book. Another thing I like about this series is how each book is different. Often w/ series the books follow identical outlines only changing characters:( If that’s your jam, this is not the series for you! Each book is very different but equally fantastic!! Sad I have now completed the series.
