Summary:

Nearly all hope is lost that a new planet will ever be found, until the Gagarin returns with a code of information that suggests a habitable planet has been found. This news should be shared with the whole fleet, but a few rogue captains want to keep the information to themselves and colonise the new planet.

When Yasmine inadvertently steals the code, she and Sam become caught up in a dangerous game of murder, corruption, political wrangling and...porridge, with sex-addicted Detective Zhang Woo hot on their heels, his own life at risk if he fails to get the code back.

A great listen!

This was the best story I’ve heard in a while. Such a fun story, and the narration was incredible!

this book is by far the best space adventure I've ever heard. great characters and scenes. whole book felt like a movie. can't wait for the next book.

Superb narration

This was a fun story to listen to but the excellent narration made it even better. The actor doing the narration is very, very talented.

I loved it

The narrator is astounding! He flawlessly does like a dozen accents and voices and keeps them all perfectly consistent. The characters are so charming, the world building is superb AND I laughed out loud more times than I can count. I'm tempted to just start this audiobook over from the beginning and listen through a second time. I loved everything about it.

Got me addicted!

This is a very long book but once I was hooked, I literally turned off the TV and just listened and listened and listened. The characters were well thought out, if not a little too repetitious about their quirks, but you really get to know them and get involved in their story. The narrator was perfect! How can he do so many voices?! Even the female voices sounded natural!

Finally got to a satisfying ending but still some stories were left open-ended......a good clue there will be more of this story to come.

I only wish Audible had a switch you could engage to let you know when a sequel is available! By the time that happens, I'll have forgotten about this excellent first installment!

I don't generally award 5 stars

I don't usually award 5 stars to books such as this. 5 stars is reserved for Steinbeck, Salinger and the like. This one took me by surprise, however. The story is rich and difficult to predict, the characters are absolutely delightful, and the performance was easily one of the best I've heard. Though this book may never achieve the fame and notoriety of The Grapes of Wrath, it is clearly a very entertaining and worthwhile investment of your time.

Great story with great narration. I can't wait for the next book to come out to see what comes next!

One of the best performances I've heard on audible

Great story and the narrating is one of the best. The story itself was really good. I never laughed so hard listening to a book before. some really funny moments in it. The performance makes even funnier. I have 200 plus books in my library and this one is in my top 5.

Human Nature

Human Nature never changes no matter what the circumstances. We'll always be jockeying for position.
