Publisher's summary

Once upon a moonlit night in the Enchanted Forest, where cursed beings are consigned until the spells that bind them are broken....

After he captures Lady Lily Rouge's carriage, Sir Marrok Ulfang, aka the biggest baddest wolf the Enchanted Forest has ever seen, has only one day to win her heart and claim her first sexual surrender, even if it means giving the nosey pixies fluttering outside his cottage window an eyeful.

Otherwise, a wolf shapeshifter he'll stay, damned to remain in the lonely Enchanted Forest forever.

But while he can arouse her virginal body to fever pitch, he quickly learns that his spirited, saucy Lily has a mind and will of her own.

And the daylight is fading fast.

Meanwhile, the one who cursed Marrok lurks in the forest and will fight to keep the couple from leaving together alive.

Steamy, Enchanting Short Story!

I'm usually not a fan of short stories. Some of the ones I've listen too in the past were poorly written, underdeveloped, and tried to pack in too many details for the story to have a good flow. But honestly, this is one of the best short stories I've listened too in a long time. Not only was it well written, creative, steamy but it was also very entertaining. I loved the erotic spin on a fairy tale theme. This audio was just long enough to listen too in one sitting, and captivating enough to listen to again.

The three things I loved most about this story was the writing, narration, and the sound effects. From the word choices, narrative, and dialogue, this story read, and felt like a true classic fairy tale. The writing was great, and the world building was descriptive.

Scarlett and Will are one of the main reason why I chose to listen to this audio. Their performance is some of the best I've listened too, and I've listened to well over 700 audiobooks. I figured even if the story was poorly written, these narrators would be able to pull it off. Imagine my surprise, when I learned Scarlett actually wrote the story. She's not only a talented narrator, but a talented author.

The sound effects were the icing, and really added to the overall appeal. Some may prefer not to have sound effects, but I LOVED IT. And I didn't think they were over the top.

This was an awesome audio, with a well thought out plot, brought to life by great narrators, and excellent sound effects. I was very pleased with my purchase, and recommend this to any PNR fan.

AN INTERESTING NAUGHTY TWIST ON AN OLD CLASSIC!!!

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This was fun, but not really my cup of tea...The story was sexy, and well narrated by this dynamic duo...they never ever disappoint me...and I of course love a magical happily ever after...but there was just something lacking for me...and although I dont mind background noises in the production, I dont prefer them either...I still believe it is well worth a listen..especially if you are a red riding hood fan, hey who can pass up a naughty fairytale?

Sexy!

A delicious fairy tale mash-up of Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast, yet not one I'd ever reason to a child! The sound effects made for a nice change of pace from a typical duet narration. It sounded more like an old-time radio drama. Horses hooves clopping, wolf howling, pretty cool stuff!

A nice take on finding love

Enchanted forest. Cursed wolf. and an unexpecting Virgin.
Sir Marrok Ulfang has been waiting a very long time for the love of his life to come near the forest he has been banished to. He has one day to convince her of their fates & break his curse.
Lady Lily Rouge is sent to marry an unknown man by her parents, and in order to prolong the life she didn't choose, she takes a trip through the enchanted forest.
This is finally the meeting Marrok needed and he is determined to prove that he is what Lily needs.
This story is a quick listen. It shows the feelings of uncertainty & honor that Marrok feels for what he must do. He doesn't want to take away the will of the woman he loves, but he also knows that his fate is wrapped in her hands.
I enjoyed listening to this and the story had a few twists that made the outcome even happier.

Not the Fairy tale I knew!

This short story is a delightful erotic twist on some fairytales. I really enjoyed listening to the performers with this erotic tale. The accents and sound effects were quite good. This was a very nice change of pace compared to my typical listening genres. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

An Erotic Fairytale

If you could sum up The Woodsman in three words, what would they be?

Innocent, Erotic, Fairytale

What about Honey Scarlett and Leeroy Will ’s performance did you like?

The narration was excellent. They perform with a lot of emotion to their voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No, it was an erotic and fun fairytale. I did find it a bit distracting to have the sound effects. I'm not used to that in an audiobook.

Narration makes this audio

Any additional comments?

What made this audio was the outstanding narration and sound effects. Here is where little red riding hood meet the big bad wolf like you have never seen before. Little Red is a very innocent good girl whose parent has sent her off to be married to an old man they have never met. Rumors are he out lives every one of his wives which is strange since he is very old and they are very young. Along come the wolf with the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen who is really more a pussy cat than big bad. At least with Little Red she has him eating out of her hand in no time flat.

I just love this duo of narrators each of their audios have been better than the last. The only problem I have with them is the music was a little loud at times. At other times it was softer and much better. There are no repeat of words, or any background noise that should not have been there. Their character voices are outstanding. They give each character so much emotion you can really feel it. The paint a picture along with the sound effect it is like watching a movie in your head. If any breaks were taken you could not tell. There is no place where the volume changes going higher or lower. You have no trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. It was a wonderful clear, clean, crisp audio you get lost in. The music was to loud at times but it does not take away from this wonderful narration. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me next. You all are in for such a treat….

There were times in this audio I had to chuckle, and other times I rolled my eyes. You went from a sweet innocent lady who didn’t even know what to call a male’s member to 2 seconds flat calling it a cock when she never knew what it was called. I guess it just popped in her head. I just could not buy into that part. If she was innocent she didn’t stay that way long because she became a wild sex starve innocent women who isn’t so innocent in 2 seconds. I had a hard time buying the things she came up with to say when she didn’t have much of a clue to that kind of act before. There is a love triangle which I thought was good. I loved the little fairies they were fun. The truly interesting part was what and why the old man wanted a bride. I hate to be harsh but without the narrators this would not have been a very enjoyable story. I would have bought into this had the author stayed in the time period she had picked with more of how the innocent woman were back then. As the author said her mother said there will be part of the marriage act you will not like deal with it. That is all the education she got until she met the wolf.

The wolf is demanding, sexy and cute but at times to wishy washy he must have but no he won’t she must leave. He will stay a wolf the rest of his life because he can’t have her. Then he must have her again but changes his mind. Back and forward we went. It was enough to drive me nuts.

I did enjoy the audio it was worth the listen just for the narration. You decide pick it up and give it a listen. There are so many people who have loved this story and totally enjoyed it from start to finish. You are in for a treat with this narration duo…

Note 3 stars because I enjoyed part of it, laughed a few times and I did love those fairies. 5 Stars narration all the way.

The woodsman is the wolf

A sweet steamy short read. Lily is a sassy girl who's mouth shocks our wolf-hero. This is my first book by Belle Scarlett but it won't be my last.
The narrators were wonderful I'm looking forward to checking out more of their work.
