Publisher's summary

Charlie Nelson is just walking down the street, minding his own business, when he’s suddenly killed in a brutal drive-by shooting…or is he? When he finally forces his eyes open again, he’s lying in a hospital bed, and he can tell right away that something is very, very wrong.

But nothing can prepare him for the shock of looking in a mirror, and seeing a gorgeous teenage girl staring back at him!

It can’t be true, it just can’t! He’s a strong, virile man! He’s not a woman, doesn’t want to be a woman, doesn’t know the first thing about being a woman!

Like it or not, though, he’s about to find out!

The nightmare seems never-ending as he’s forced to adjust to his new body’s limitations. Peeing sitting down isn’t so hard…except when he forgets he needs to sit. He has to endure the danger of hot curling irons, the wretched indignity of a girly-girl pedicure…and monthly cramps! Who knew being a woman was so traumatic?

And how do they tolerate barbaric torture devices like pantyhose and brassieres without going insane?

He has to blend, though, or the hospital shrinks will toss him in the looney bin!

Just when he thinks his new life can’t possibly get any worse, he’s finally reunited with his lifelong best friend, Daniel. Can he convince Dano he’s really trapped inside Charlotte Duncan’s lush young body before Dano, a rakish womanizer, tries to seduce him? And what the hell is happening to Charlotte’s traitorous body when Dano touches him? Surely he’s not really getting turned on by Dano’s broad shoulders, narrow hips, and the huge bulge in his shorts!

“The Woman Who Wasn’t” is a hysterically funny rollercoaster ride of body swapping, gender-bending, and hot virgin seduction!

Well done transformation

Well written, and quite hot, Charles wakes up from a coma to find himself now in a woman's body. The meets up with the man who had been his best friend when he was a guy, and well, things progress from there. Nicely done, and well voiced by the male narrator, who handles the voices of both genders well.

Great Story! Great Listen🎧 4.5 Hot🔥Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

An interesting and entertaining story. Imagine waking up in the body of the opposite sex, well Pornelope did and plotted it well. I found Charles adjustments to the female anatomy hysterical, peeing standing up, LOL! Hating boobs because they get in the way and bounce, LOL! Yes, men, hear that!! Great character development and story buildup for a short, though it did seem rushed at the end maybe because I wished the story was longer and got some more Charlie and Dano!! Thank you for this great story.

I listened to the audible edition, Persephone Rose is a wonderful narrator. A natural talent who performed the voices of all the characters, switched vocals back and forth effortlessly keeping the story in a perfect flow with the right amount of dramatic flair. Thank your for the great listen!

Given the synopsis, I wasn't sure what to expect going in. Turns out, this was actually pretty good. Persephone Rose did a great job on the story and narration. It wasn't super long, but I sure was entertained the whole time.

Good Read

The Woman Who Wasn't was a good quick read by Pornelope. Charlie was walking down the street and minding his own business when he was killed in a drive-by. Yet he wakes up in a different body, that of a woman.

THIS WAS DEFINITELY A TURN ON!!!

This short story was well written and chock-full of steamy eroticism towards the middle to end of the audiobook. Also, the narrator did a good job at making you believe that the main character was in fact a woman.

I received this audiobook for free and I freely give my review of this audiobook.

Very Interesting Take on Relationships

The story was well written and thought out. A little uncomfortable at times thinking about the fact that these two characters were best friends since early childhood and had several sexual conquests of the same women. Now the tables have canted slightly and they find that the love they felt for each other as two heterosexual men can now be explored as a heterosexual couple.

The narration was perfect. Persephone Rose has increasingly gotten better with time. Very awesome.

good narration

I enjoyed the turmoil and challenges between Charlie and Daniel. I thought this was an excellent idea for a book. I know these are short hot naughty books, but I do wish this one went into more character development and went longer. It has an excellent concept of a story and she really could've ran with it.

Narration by Mr. Rose was awesome as always.
