Publisher's summary

1231 A.D.

After a nasty skirmish along the England/Scotland border at Bog Wood, a badly wounded knight has crawled off to die. As women from the Clan Scott fan out across the battlefield to collect the spoils of war, one woman breaks off from the pack. She is sickened by the tradition of stealing valuables off the dead and runs off to hide. In her hiding place, however, lingers the badly wounded knight. The young woman is frightened at first but her natural instinct to lend aid takes over. She tends the knight and saves his life. Little does the Lady Jordan Scott know that she has just saved the life of the dreaded English knight known to her people as The Wolf.

LE VEQUE AT HER FINEST

Would you listen to The Wolfe again? Why?

I would listen to this novel again and again and again. This is the best of the best in Le Veque's long list of novels. Five star novel with everything you could want in a historical romance novel: love, action, adventure, political intrigue, sex and knights battling to the end.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

While you want to listen to this all in one sitting, you just have to be patient and do it in stages from the sheer length of the story. You can't wait to get back to it!

Perfect Voice for Perffect Book

What did you love best about The Wolfe?

I liked the story line. I think that they were great together and they loved each other so much. You could see it and feel it when you were listening. The side characters were as much as part of the story as the main ones. When you listen to this book (or read it) you get swept away into this wonderful world. You really don't want to come back to reality. You can join in on the fights, banter, and just walk away either laughing, crying, or smiling. The story had it all and didn't leave anything out. You could feel everyone, see everything, and all in your mind like it was right in front of you.

Which scene was your favorite?

I think my favorite seen was when the cousins made the bet, and Jemma had to kiss Paris. The reaction on both parties had me rolling.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Action, Laughter, Sorrow and Love all rolled up nicely in this epic film.

Any additional comments?

The man who voiced this was the perfect choice. You could actually see William talking.

A fated union, that overcome all obstacles.

Sacrificed as the treaty tie to the Scottish and English borders, a young lass is sent to marry an English Earl. However, the very person sent to retrieve her, happened to be a young English knight that she had helped, when he had been wounded in a battle, and it had not been for her assistance, he would had died.
Unfortunately, despite fighting their attraction to each other, they end up in each other's arms. As the arranged marriage that was to take place, was decreed by the English King, their actions could be considered traitorous, if found out!
You need to read the book, to find out what happens, as I hate to give away a great storyline.

Bit of a rip off

Many echoes of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
This story played to girlish fantasies of popularity and men throwing themselves at main character. At the end the cat fights and perfect body just got to be too much.
Entertaining, decent plot twists; just a little to far fetched with the happily ever after.

Simply increase the narration speed to enjoy!

This book was most enjoyable and while the narrator was a bit frustrating at first, increasing the speed to 1.25 made everything perfect.
