Publisher's summary

After his discharge, former Delta soldier Adam Travail just wanted to find somewhere to settle, a new home, where he could utilize his skills without the threat of his PTSD rearing its ugly head. The security position at the Chicago nightclub, The Witch's Brew, seemed like the perfect fit, and it was even better after he learned that everything he thought was fiction was, in fact, reality.

Fighting his attraction to his new security employee was the least of Mikael Popov's problems when he is attacked several times in his club. Keeping his employees, his family, safe was Mikael's responsibility, just as keeping their world hidden was until he had no other choice.

This audiobook contains M/M sexual situations and is intended for listeners of legal age in the country in which they reside. Please store your adult literature responsibly.

Good story...

Enjoyed the story but the narrator's numerous personas left my disappointed. I would've stopped listening but the story intrigued me, so I suffered through the narrator's voices. I may purchase the book so I can read it again at a later date.

Never knew

It was a wonderful book. Lots of details easy to imagine the characters are relatable and had a nice ending it needed more sexy scenes and less longing for the other.

New author for me as well as narrator.

Don’t listen a lot to supernatural books but every once in a while if one grabs my attention and I’ll listen to it. Well this one got my attention and I have enjoyed it a lot.

oh dear...

I've not read anything by Brenda Cothern and had no expectations here. I try hard to support writers of lgbt novels and stories. I grew up in a time where almost all lgbt characters...or at least the strong ones...died a horrible death. So kudos to the author for her repertoire of lgbt characters that are strong and life affirming.

I'm in no way qualified to review a book. That said, from my perspective I would have enjoyed seeing more character development. There were a number of background stories that went nowhere. Hopefully, they will be explored in future volumes.

I enjoyed the main character until the occurrence of a significant event at which point he turned into a whiny bitch. From my perspective that seemed a wee bit out of character. The story flew by and I look forward to reading a second volume of The Witches Brew.
