Publisher's Summary

Funny and feisty witch Jolie Wilkins is back - or rather, she's back to her humble beginnings. Propelled into the past to her old Los Angeles fortune-telling shop, Jolie has no idea she possesses extraordinary powers, and she definitely doesn't remember becoming Queen of the Underworld. But at least she has two incredibly sexy men vying for her affection: Rand Balfour, who looks very familiar, though Jolie can't place his gorgeous face, and Sinjin Sinclair, who is tall, dark, and perfect... except for the fangs.

Yet despite her steamy love life, Jolie can't shake the sense that something is not quite right - she feels stuck in a déjà vu gone terribly awry. As both men race against time - and each other - to win Jolie's heart, the fate of the Underworld hangs in the balance. And Jolie's decision can either restore order or create an absolute, drop-dead disaster.

This book is AGGRAVATING!!!

What would have made The Witch Is Back better?

If the main character, Jolie, wasn't SO STUPID!!! She and Rand have been bonded, yes over 100 years ago, and yet she doesn't have ANY feelings for him at all or trust in him!! I just want to smack her! She trusts a vampire, but not someone who is JUST like her, a witch!!! (Spoiler Alert) Even knowing she and Rand end up together again somehow, I'm ready to skip to the next book bc she is so stupid!!!!

What could H. P. Mallory have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Being wary of Rand is understandable, but to put SO much trust in Singin is aggravating. She should be more wary of Singin than she is of Rand. She is a witch AND a physic, yet she doesn't pay attention to AT ALL to her 6th sense! That is insulting and again, AGGRAVATING! Plus, in the past Singin has lied to her in a HUGE way. U would think she would be EXTREMELY wary of him and not believe EVERY lying word out of his mouth.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, the narrators. That's the ONLY redeeming quality so far...

Any additional comments?

I haven't finished the book yet, and am only on chapter 8, but I just couldn't take it anymore and had to write my complaint about it. For someone to be a physic, they know how important their 6th sense is and learn very early in life to trust that, if nothing else. I know Jolie is very insecure, but she should know, at her age, to trust her inner voice!!!
This is VERY insulting to readers. This book is so aggravating to me I'm going to do something I've NEVER done b4. I'm going to skip to the nxt book.

Okay

The book was okay, but it was really irritating to be left with 2 hours and 40 minuets (!) and have the book end! The next nearly three hours is a “preview” of the next book?! How does that happen? I’ve never experienced this length of time being a “preview” for the next book in a series. It’s always been 30mins at most. A heads up in the description would be nice next time.
