His rich voice and lively interpretation of the dialogue enhances this tale, which is set during the Klondike Gold Rush. Mason, his wife, Ruth (a native American woman), and the Malemute Kid are traveling across the desolate, cold expanse of the Yukon by dog sled. The two men disagree about the treatment of one of the weaker dogs in the pack. Before long, tragedy strikes. Can they all survive another 200 miles of wilderness?

This is a well read short story about the struggle for survival in the Arctic. It can be easily read / listened to in one sitting. I read the story while listening and the narration was completely faithful to the text. Jack London does a great job conveying the battle for survival in this environment. Thank You...
