The Weller is back!
Still healing from his battle with the distillers in Iowa City, legendary weller Matt Freeborn crosses into Missouri, where foes both old and new await him. Finding himself dangerously low on precious ammunition for the Well Digger, the desperate weller accepts a perilous job on the mighty Mississippi. Armed with only his wits and experience, Freeborn must descend into places no man dares go and face unknown terrors that hunger and hunt in absolute darkness.

The use of real world locations, places I’ve heard of or live near, it’s also very enjoyable.
I also felt the way it was organized, the chapter breaks, would make it an ideal movie/TV show/made for TV movie.
I have read/listen to his other books and it’s potential for a scyfi miniseries at the minimum.
If it looking for a different take on the future, then give this one a shot.
It’s like a refreshing splash of water across your face. Pun intended.
This could/should be a movie!

The main character found himself in a series of situations, but was never in doubt that he would survive somehow. And he seemed to just wander through the story line as a sequence of events vs any kind of greater plot taking place. I'd prefer some sense of purpose in each book if I were to continue the series.
I'll definitely keep an eye out for this author and this narrator. Both are really good.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Great writing and great narration
