These continue to be the questions that are being asked today by men and women in every walk of life. These are the questions that will continue to be asked, even when the many distractions of life offer their own answers—answers so devoid of meaning that the human mind must be numbed first before it can even temporarily fasten itself to their barren messages.
Although many choose to find their answers in some tradition or religious practice, some will openly admit that they are also plagued with discontent, for such practices may not possibly provide the kind of understanding that can only emerge from a first-hand experience with the very nature of life itself. Therefore, those who conclude, in frustration, that there are no satisfying answers to these basic questions about existence either become cynical or choose to distract themselves or casually satisfy themselves by embracing an explanation left behind by an “enlightened” other. Even then they are haunted by the same questions in those moments when the strength of their distractions loses its grip and the person is suddenly confronted by the realization of self-deceit.
In this brief mortal existence, there is no escape from grappling with questions that are meant to bring us to a higher state of awareness, a state where the mysteries begin to unveil themselves.
