Not impressed.

it was ok but I was expecting an amazing book. instead it was very ho hum

One of the best books I’ve ever read. I have the physical hard cover version and it’s seriously one of my favorites!

Difinitive edition for me

I already own the previus editions of this book. What made me buy this one is that its read by the author himself. Even if the book turned out completly the same as the last version it would be still worth having just to hear Mark narrating his personal experience and thoughts. Luckily there is new content added as well so win win.

Life changing potential

I have now been listening to this great book twice in a row and have bought a printed version as well.
This is thoroughly a book that inspire to change and is packed up with exercises that change your life profoundly.
I am now going to implementing and already are using box breathing and meditation with great success.

Solid Info...

I applaud him for reading his own book...but I would suggest him changing it up with another narrator...and come in on certain parts. I thought the info was very practical and some good strategies n concepts. Bottom line...when a SEAL talks I will listen... I will also checkout his SEALFIT...and would love to go to one of his training camps....

A great book

A wonderful book that I found to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I found great relation with the author and I further highly recommend this book.

Good Training!

This is a very good book and has many valuable words of wisdom and advice. With this book, you can learn how to translate the military mind set to business or just everyday living. Definitely worth the listen and read and most certainly should be applied.

Great book. Simple and effective ideas.

I don’t usually write reviews but this book needs recognition. The audiobook is good because Mark reads it himself, I also have the paperback so I can get it into my head better.

The exercises are easy enough for anyone to do but effective and progressive in design. He also has some documents for download related to the book material including a journal.

I’ve read a ton of personal development books that I felt were a waste of time. This one has the power to change your mindset quickly and permanently. Still working with the practices and excited to see even more results.

I always feel like there is only one book you will ever need, most people say “the Bible” so now I say two books. The WOS should be one of those books. Thanks, Mark!

Good content with lots of self promotion

The book is good, however much of the content borrows from others and rebrands with the word seal. I really like the meditation and exercises, however didnt like how the author seems to bolster his brand using people and examples of how his practice worked for them. In my experience, I prefer to be introduced to ideas and let me decide if they work. The paper book is better, and Mark might consider redoing the audio books similar to Gogins, almost like a podcast. Mark's pod cast is awesome. The follow on book to this is much more concise with content and the messages are better executed. Overall I really like the actual messages in place of the examples. For some reason I always hear good will hunting, "Mark has the same problem as Chad the stockbroker"..

Great Resource to become Elite

Some said that running a business or taking some kind of challenge is 80% mindset and 20% skillset. The skills can be learned but what can make you stay longer and face those challenges is what's inside our minds. I'm applying slowly some of the rituals I've learned here like waking up early, box breathing, visualizing, etc to develop mental toughness. It will be a slow, painful but rewarding process. I am replaying this book since there are more nuggets in here. Thank you Mark for sharing your stories, experiences & lessons learned. Now we can all have a shot to become Elite like the SEALS in our own world and way.
