Publisher's summary

When Jacqueline Turner's fiance gives her two days to move out of his apartment, Jacqueline has no choice but to leave New York City and crash with her best friend in Washington, D.C. (She can't be expected to keep herself in cute clothes while paying New York City rent, after all.) She needs an exciting new life, not to mention real employment. Where better to get a fresh start than the nation's capital?

Alas, D.C. turns out to be a lot more buttoned-up and toned down than she'd hoped. It's a town where a girl has to make her own excitement, and Jacqueline Turner is just the woman for the job.

From the married presidential appointee who gives her cash after each tryst, to the lascivious Georgetown lawyer who parades her around like something out of Pretty Woman, Jackie's roster of paramours grows so complicated that her friends ask her to start a blog so they can keep up. But in a small town like Washington, the line between private and public blurs very easily. Just as one of her beaux takes a lead in the race for her heart, Jackie realizes this blog idea may be more than she bargained for....

Critic reviews

"Juicy and occasionally amusing Washington gossip as told through the anti-litigious filter of fiction....Washington's version of Sex and the City....Lively, funny, and agreeably in-your-face....Cutler sticks pins in a lot of deserving targets." (The Washington Post)

This was okay. I cant say its the greatest but i wouldnt say it was horrible. Can i recommend it? Well, only if you like these kinds of books, you have little money and theres nothing left, but you HAVE to get something new for a vacation, then yeah go ahead.

Trashy but in a good way

This isn't going to win a Booker prize but it's pretty well written, it's fast-paced, and it takes you along on a ride that you would probably not take in real life. Or if you would, then I want to read YOUR blog too!

Saucy!

Fast paced romp through life in Washington, written with tantalizing candor. The narration is a perfect match.
