Full of great statistics

This book is full of great statistics. It reveals lots of lies our government is telling us to try to take away our guns. With all the stats it can get boring, but you will get lots of defence against anti gun liberals.
If you can get an anti gun liberal in the car on a long road trip, this would be a great book to pay on Audible.

Everyone should read this book!

Would you listen to The War on Guns again? Why?

Yes but there is an issue.This topic is one with a huge emotional content on both sides of the argument. I love John Lott and am very happy that he is there and has done all the research needed to PROVE he is the one whose facts are valid- HOWEVER, the book's reader has a very pushy argumentative tone which will invariably turn off the exact people who we need to have their views turned around by his books. I might not be able to recommend this book to anti-gun friends since it sounds like he is yelling the facts at us instead of simply educating us with good research. Would love his first book, More Guns Less Crime to be made into an audio bk with a less gnarly reader.

Great book! fantastic research by John lott!

I will be recommending this and other John Lott books to each and every Gun owner I know. We need to be armed with the facts about guns when speaking with anti-gun leftists. they are lying about guns and self defense as well as the history of the country and second amendment. GREAT BOOK!!!

A great book that dismantles the government and academic propaganda against guns. He expertly presents data and facts in an even-handed and scholarly approach to this controversial topic.

Another book that should be required text written by Dr Lott

This is the third book I've read written by this author. This should be on every gun owner's list of books to read/hear. More importantly, gun control advocates should be introduced to this book. They are the ones being lied to. Although Dr Lott uses some of the same information that he has previously used in his older books, he's broken the information down to make it more digestible (at least for me). He's also added quite a bit of useful information that I did not know before. My one gripe is the reader of this book was pretty monotone through the whole thing. I'm not sure what I was expecting due to the nature of the book, but his voice got old pretty quick. If this says anything, I'm going to buy a hard copy of this book. It will be a useful resource for future use. Keep on doing God's work Dr Lott! Your work is very much appreciated.

Great book based on facts not a political agenda!! A must read for all informed citizens.

Well researched & compelling

I was concerned about government's infringement on American's Second Amendment rights. However, I was surprised and dismayed by the disinformation and downright lying the government did when pushing their unconstitutional gun restrictions on the American people. Kudos to John Lott for his effort in exposing this travesty. 5 Stars!

INCREDIBLY IGNORANT

I consider myself slightly more knowledgable than most with regard to the Gun-Control/2nd Ammendment debate.

However, the facts, charts, and statistics, presented in this book highlighted how incredibly ignorant I was.

For anyone slightly interested in this topic and how the media generally (and Mike Bloomberg specifically) helped shape many of my - and probably your - misperceptions, this book is a must read/listen.
