No-nonsense erotica

A story of a woman discovering her own sexual prowess and what works for her much later in life. I enjoyed how the mc struggled initially with accepting her new found love for sex but eventually found strength and power in fully accepting herself.

Marilyn is a hardworking sexless woman. Her mother taught her from an early age that sex was wrong and should only be used for procreation. She has a figure like a stick-figure with small breasts and has never received any interest from boys. She wasn't interested in them either. Her father pushed her hard, and she completed two degrees in business and economics. She ended up as a successful trader on Wall Street. She didn't feel as if anything was lacking from her life. Her work was enough.
One day she is introduced to Avalon, a service that promises to help her, in any way possible. Marilyn goes for an appointment and ends up with a form of sex therapy. She reaches her first orgasm.
From there the story escalates into a string of meetings with men and women, all helping to develop Marilyn's sexual development.

The book was well-written but could have done with some more editing. I feel like some scenes should have been cut or at least shortened. It wouldn't have hurt the story if we had a few fewer characters and storylines. I didn't listen to all of it in one go, so I sometimes lost track of who was who. Marilyn's character was well-developed. I believed her and the choices she made. This is going to sound funny regarding an erotica book, but sometimes there was too much sex. Every scene had to contain a naked character one way or another. It could have done with a little bit less. Oh, and one pet peeve of mine: during the first scenes Marilyn asks for her sexual partner to 'do her.' That's fine; it sounds cute. But even in the final scenes, this is still going on. By then it's no longer cute, merely pathetic. Just say it like it is, woman.

The voice-actress was amazing. No matter how erotic the scene was, she sounded completely in character. She used a different accent for all the characters. She made the sex scenes extra arousing.

Wall Street Domme is a book that will not bore you. It contains many sex scenes, and some are very hot. The story is fast-paced, just a little confusing sometimes. Listen for yourself and learn about Marylin's transformation from Wall Street trader to Domme.

A new and exciting journey...

I love how this lady is successful, and isn't afraid to explore her sexuality. A beautiful budding romance with the perfect amount of sex and kink. I loved how she explored her sexuality and found herself during this book.

what an interesting take on an old twist. the only thing i couldve done without is the fact that the protagonist didn't cuss but her wording made me laugh..."do me"; and when the reader says it, makes me laugh just a bit more. but i loved the story, wish there was more

kind of different fun

If I had to describe this book in a single phrase, it would be uncommonly fun. I would not say its great but it is good. Following our protagonist from obsessed workaholic to a woman with a grasp on her sexuality and having a real relationship is marvelous. Her initial discomfort with her own feelings was the most genuine description of sexual ambiguity I've ever found.

Just...NO-Deceptive Synopsis

This is NOT a lesbian story despite the deceptive summary and another reviewer’s description.
I rarely rate something I couldn’t finish but this book was a HUGE NO for me. Only could make it about halfway through.

First of all the MC, who starts the story off as a virgin, after a therapy session at Avalon in which she has her very first orgasm ever with a female therapist, goes to a suspect part of town and pretends to be a prostitute. She jumps in a car with the first male who stops and engages her and goes to a seedy motel and immediately has sex with him even though she describes him as a “greasy” looking guy who looks like the type to pay for it.
At NO POINT is there any mention of protection. She just hops on him and sees how many times she can get him to rise!!! No condom or anything! WTF??!! We’re talking about a woman who has barely had a finger inside of her before this!

Now I’m okay with reading hetero sex if l know that’s what I’m getting, but this story is implied to be f/f.
As if that wasn’t enough (and honestly I almost deleted the audiobook from that alone but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt-maybe the MC would have an epiphany moment perhaps after she talked about everything going on with her to Leslie-but No.
She goes on to have sex with multiple others-mostly men-and to fantasize about dominating them and having sex with them, including all her male colleagues.

My final straw was when after she made her masseuse “do” her 🙄 (and don’t even get me started on that silly, annoying, overused phrase) in her front and back doors simultaneously, she ordered a gang bang off the erotic menu from the resort she was vacationing at.

I draw the line at a group of men running a train on a woman. Even if it was at her request. If none of these things described bother you, then by all means, give this one a try. I just feel deceived. I thought I was going to get some hot and kinky F/F D/s in this but it just really turned me off.

I doubt I’ll try anything else by this author.
