Nice little mystery romance

I enjoyed this one better than the first. I felt like the voices were more appropriate for the characters. I loved the epilogue.

Compelling

Good story, but I don't like to wait so long for the romantic smoochy bits!😉

Gideon is quite possibly the best hero ever.

With all the heroes jaded by love, it was refreshing to find one who adored his wife. His relationship with his niece was adorable and his heroine was the perfect mix of vulnerability and determination. While the mystery aspect of this was rather obvious, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story in the slightest.

I could nitpick a little about her taking a little too long to really remove Gideon as a suspect because it would have been obvious to most anyone from very early on, but I get that it was part of her character arc that she felt that her tendency to lean on emotional intelligence was a weakness that couldn’t be trusted.

Truly it was such an enjoyable book. Off to the next in the series.

Good, Not Great

Overall, this was very average. Not much happens and as far as the mystery goes, it was very easy to guess. The love story is sweet, not passionate. It’s a little on the cheesy side. The narrator wasn’t bad. Definitely not the worst I’ve listened to.

IS THERE REALLY A GHOST?

I really enjoyed reading The Virgin Who Vindicated Lord Darling. It felt like a Gothic Romance Novel with a hint of Jane Eyre type style of storyline!

Lord Darlington is believed to have murdered his deceased wife Cassandra. She is suppose to be haunting the Darlington Castle. Cecilia is sent to investigate. But finds herself falling in love with 4 year old Isabelle, Gideon's niece and she falls in love with Gideon too.

The characters are fully developed in this story with intelligent believable banter between them.

The Audible Narrator was very good!! I recommend listening to it on Audible.
