The characters came alive!

Interesting viking story and another wonderful narration by Amanda Cobb. The characters become vivid as she breathes life into each one!

The book was ok, but lacked more romance

What made the experience of listening to The Viking's Sacrifice the most enjoyable?

The way Amanda Cobb read the book, did that I gave it a chance. And I do not regret. If you just want to sit back and enjoy a good story, this could be the book. I enjoyed it.

What other book might you compare The Viking's Sacrifice to and why?

I actually think this book is the first, i have listened to, which is about a kidnapped girl who is saved by another. It always used to be the kidnapper and the girl who falls in love with each other. So i can't compare it.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Cobb’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this is the first book, but she did a great job. She has a pleasant voice to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Every time Einar being ridiculed by his siblings and people. And when his faithful horse is sacrificed.

Any additional comments?

Although the book was not quite as I expected, I was pleasantly surprised.
But I would not use a credit. Buy it when it is on sale.

At the top of the list due to the narrator's pleasant voice and her ability to make characters come alive.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Wilda and Einar due to their ability to survive against all odds.

What about Amanda Cobb’s performance did you like?

The way she was able to differentiate the characters with her voice and convey their emotions.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Several -- particularly all those moments of quiet desperation!

Ms. Cobb has the talent for bringing characters alive with her voice and sweeping the listener into their world. I would like to hear her narrate more books -- all genres -- and lend her skills to various series.
