Not the book at all

I usually get the unabridged versions. This one states that it's abridged, but it's not even the book. It's from a movie/tv show. It should NOT be sold as an audio book. It's the worst thing I've ever purchased from Audible, I too would like my money back.

Worthless

Audio sounds like it was recorded on a cassette player, much of the time is just transistional music noise. Should not be sold as an Audio book. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing.

Not an audio book

This is the sound track from a DVD of the same name. If this subject is of interest, then get the DVD. You will be wanting to see the visuals to go with the sounds you hear.

Extremely disappointing!

Listed at an hour and 40 minutes long, most of it is spent in music, and not really anything "Viking" in nature. The narrarator talks in bits and pieces, putting the "story" together, but it's pieced together so slowly that it becomes uninteresting.
From 1 hr. 21 min. on, it is a totally different subject that doesn't have anything to do with "The Viking Serpent," rather deals in Native American information.
Can I have my money back?!!!

Interesting topic but terrible audio file

What disappointed you about The Viking Serpent?

The topic is very interesting to me but the quality was very poor and the music was out of place. Much of what the guy talks about is a map that you can't even see. I was confused the entire time. While the person talking did appear to make an incredible discovery it is hard to figure out what that is. very little information on Serpent Worship.

There was much to much music in it.

This book sounded more like a TV documentary recorded by a cell phone and then turned into an audiobook. The information was cool, but it could have been much shorter if the musical interludes were taken out. I really regret using one of my $20 monthly credits for this.

Bad idea

To use the soundtrack of probably a tv documentary. Lots of musical background without the sweeping panorama shots, just music. I doubt the spoken clips took.up 30 minutes. Then they spend much time referring to drawing on a map of reference points but don't provide a pdf. Not sure about anyone else but I don't carry a map of 1100 AD Norway in my head so ... Pointless.

Terrible!

The interview could have been done in 1/3rd of the audiobook! What information is there is drowned out with a mishmash of music, and most of the later chapters are basically ads for other books.
Sadly, I had really wanted to learn something from this, but the idiotic background cacophony makes the spoken portion a garble.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR CREDIT ON THIS MESS!
