Publisher's summary

Filled with the enticing blend of suspense and romance Coble is known for, “devotees of Dani Pettrey, Brenda Novak, and Allison Brennan will find a new favorite here.”

After her husband, Jack, dies in a climbing incident, Shauna has only her five-year-old son and her helicopter charter business to live for. Every day is a struggle to make ends meet and she lives in constant fear of losing even more than she already has.

When her business partner is murdered, his final words convince Shauna that she’s in danger too. But where can she turn? Zach Bannister was her husband’s best friend and is the person she blames for his death. She’s barely spoken to him since. But right now he seems to be her only hope for protecting her son.

Zach is only too happy to assuage his guilt over Jack’s death by helping Shauna any way he can. But there are secrets involved dating back to Shauna’s childhood that more than one person would prefer to stay hidden.

Critic reviews

"Prepare to stay up all night with Colleen Coble. Coble's beautiful, emotional prose coupled with her keen sense of pacing, escalating danger, and very real characters place her firmly at the top of the suspense genre. I could not put this book down." (Allison Brennan, New York Times best-selling author of Shattered)

“…The View From Rainshadow Bay, opens with a heart-pounding, run-for-your-life chase. This book will stay with you for a long time, long after you flip to the last page.” (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars)

Could have been better

The characters were a bit too stupid. The reader pronounced “important” as “impordant”. She mispronounced town names and places. It was irritating.

Love lavender

I could not put this book down. It always kept me guessing .Never a dull moment. The narrator is awesome and very good change over to each person. The truth about God and his word through out the story so effortlessly and always in the right places .I really felt that I was right there watching it all play out right in front of me.
Thank you for taking me away for a few hours.
Will definitely be listening to more of Ms.Coble and Devon Day
another favorite author .The only thing that would make this book better is if I had the hard back and cd for my collection.Eccelent book and presentation.

Sequim

Locals really hate so much mispronunciation of Sequim. It is “skwim”, not “seekwim”. Enjoyable story in spite if narration.

Enjoy

So many Christian fiction mysteries are not very engaging. However this one was and I did not guess the ending.

Woman narrator was to easy going. Needs to be more dramatic speaking .

Very disappointing!

After reading the review for this book I was looking forward to something very different and at least characters that were well developed. For a book that claimed to be used for discussion of Christian principles, there was very little substance to the claim! The complete lack of awareness of basic safety for herself & her boy of the main character was shocking. There was so much that was unbelievable it was hard to keep reading! Sorry. Not at all interested in any sequels!
